He was outstanding. My favorites are Point Blank, The Professionals, and The Dirty Dozen. But Lee enhanced any film he appeared in. 👍

@juliearmfield2634 Most definitely. Marvin was tremendous as Liberty Vallance. He played those villians with true flair, esp early in his career. Another fine one was in The Big Heat, a classic noir with Glenn Ford and Gloria Graham. In that one, Marvin famously throws hot coffee at Graham's face, permanently scarring her. Rough scene.

@@waynej2608 Graham looked fine in Rich Man Poor Man I couldn't see any scars from the scalding coffee or anything like that.

@@marlenepearson3936 yes also the comancheros with John Wayne as well as North to Alaska with John Wayne and you mustn't forget The Caine Mutiny with Humphrey Bogart where Lee Marvin and Claude Akins play two kind of low life deck hands. A true classic right there.

Some of his drinking stories are legendary, along with fellow actors like Richard Burton. It was the era, a different time. Who knows how much longer they could’ve lived had they not had these bad habits and addictions, but they lived how they wanted to.

I belie ve he was also a friend and pupil of Bruce Lee. Can you imagine, had he not drank alcohol or smoked he may still be alive today.
