Today we are visiting a huge museum complex The Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming. This museum complex has 5 different areas which have focus on various points of American History including a center focusing on the Plains Indians, Buffalo Bill, a nature center, an art area and a gun museum. Today we do a deep dive into the life and legacy of Buffalo Bill, a man who created the very community we are visiting and made possible so many unique projects in this area.

OMG, I have actually been to this one when My husband and I were working on contract in Butte Montana. So cool. We got to visit Yellowstone, Jackson hole, and Cody, while we were there. Idaho is where my husbands dad worked with the CCC's you have spoken of before. Another great video. Have a wonderful day!

Buffalo Bill Cody’s ranch is a couple hours from me in North Platte NE! It is an interesting visit as well! Right on I-80.

@@BunnyPlaysHere the Ranch is a historical State Park. There are lots of things to see in North Platte. There is a tourist shop Fort Cody Trading Post, right off the interstate. inside is a large working Diorama with 20,000 pieces, of the Wild West show that has been there forever. I’m 68 and saw it as a child, and amazingly it still works! Also a small Old West museum!

Very interesting 🤩 Did you know that when the show was near Manchester UK in 1903 - a 26-year-old Sioux chief called Charging Thunder stayed in the UK. He’s buried in West Gorton

I’ve been to the gravesite on Lookout Mountain in Colorado. It’s a really beautiful place. I think it’s really a tribute to the ultimate showmanship of his legendary larger than life story that there’s discrepancy about where he is actually buried. Regardless, people who want to pay respects can do so where ever he’s buried, and it ultimately doesn’t really matter that much. Those who knew the truth are long gone and they are probably really the only people that needed to know for sure. Very interesting tour!
