OH, DAN!!! You are making beautiful, valuable art by taking people's lives and weaving it into a wonderful story that others can view.... I've always seen this in your YT videos.... and now here you are where you are offering your skill and talent on a whole new profound level! Thank you for being you. This world needs these wonderfully nonpolitical expressions of our existence.

Dan, your work with Tess is so tender, sweet and respectful and I am seeing this after I have seen the documentary. I've also watched a few other new releases and have to say your work is truly wonderful, and seems to outshine some of the others that are also just getting released. too bad they didn't have you to do their story telling! Your eye, the edge you share in telling the story/ies and the fabulous filming is truly A+ ........and of course its on Abundance plus....the colors you shoot and how they vibrate are awesome. Best of everything.....You are a film/documentary maker! I'm convinced, CB

Congrats Dan! Success story! Now you're a talented film maker (besides homesteader + dad). You walked out of the "golden cage" of a high paying detecter job, but I think you probably find that what you're doing now is 100x more rewarding. Such a joy to see you grow and shine in your new endeavor.

Tess! I’m turning 70 and want to homestead! Am I crazy? I grew up on a farm, my mom died this year, we selling the farm and all I can think of is to start anew! I’d love to talk to someone who gets it!

NOT FAIR YOU HAVE TO PAY!!!!
@TheGrassfedHomestead3 жыл бұрын
There is a free seven day trial. You can cancel after watching. But think about this for a minute... This documentary cost several thousand dollars to make and took up a lot of time and resources. Why do you think it is not fair to pay to watch this high-quality production? Each episode of Rooted costs about $10-12k to make. I have no idea how much Wilder Still costs, but it is probably similar. You can watch those shows plus mine (and a bunch of other stuff) for $6/month. How is that not fair? If no one paid to watch, there wouldn't be anything to watch because we wouldn't have the money to make these films. I realize not everyone will sign up to watch which is part of why I shared this video. You still get to see part of it and enjoy it for free.

@Susan Smith Dan produces very high quality content accessible here on KZbin. If his YT videos are good (which he produces out of pocket and is no small effort in time to set up video shots, synch and overlay audio and edit into a cohesive story,) why then should he not be paid thru Abundance + for longer, high quality stories? The cost of subscription to access Abundance + is very reasonable and moreover, worth it. It's VERY fair.
@melsolomon82563 жыл бұрын
Believe me, it is worth every penny. It is a high-quality documentary plus there are other amazing shows over there. Dan did a great job telling Tess's story. Made me want to buy her farm to keep it going after she is gone. If it was possible.
