The thing is when you said they were healthy and such death will happen once your time comes. That is his job. He doesn't kill cause he want to but he has too. He left the deer some more time to live. Since he fell in love with life. Though if you continue to let them live forever their lives become a bit miserable.

When she was like don't kill the bunny the bunny's healthy. I was like: he does not want to do it but he has to because no one can live forever, he loves animals. He just wants to pet then but he is death. 😐

The wolf was old and the bunny probably had a sickness. The deer was also probably sick in the first place.

Auggie Meyer dad wanted to be friends with the wolf and started the pets him then wolf side sadly because you know death is death then what he just wanted to pet the bunny and be friends the bunny too you know how that ends up terrible and for the deer I think that her dear friends gave up on her and left her behind so she just wanted to be take it away by Death

Not at all tho, death knows who's time will come when it does, the bird lying there in the beginning was probably waiting for death an so death finally put it out of its misery, the wolf was probably old and died naturally of old age, bunny looked sick an was weak from its sickness to which its finally succumbed to it. Death knew that the deer was getting close but its time wasn't there yet and so decided to stay with her untill she went with death.

The dear lived a happy life and she didn’t have to suffer any longer on her pain. It was so sad, and I do also wish Marsha to make more animations like this one. Love the video, hope you make more of these, AyChristeneGames. :)

I think the moral is that every thing he touched died hints that all of the animals he touched died probably think that were so beautiful that he wanted to touch them as you can see to his reacting to him killing the flower that he never meant to but you never know i could be wrong that just what i saw and felt like what is going on and that would be the life of death even if he really love something it is very beautiful but has a deeper meaning a sad but beautiful story.

Amazing to see people have so interpertations of life and death. We really dont know our time. Some get snatched by it and some embrace it like an old friend. I think what makes it interesting is that death is always looming but its the people who know that live the happiest life as they make most out of life as they know it will end one day. So when the day comes they are ready to embrace it.

The deer was probably either sick or too weak from old age so that's why she couldn't leave with the others. Instead she wanted to spend her last moments with death before she died. Also this way Death finally could hug her. Its really sad but understandable that she did that rather than suffer any longer if she was in pain :(

2 years later I still love this video, I also think it’s really beautiful that in the end death doesn’t necessarily stay and mourn over the deer because the way I first interpreted it was that maybe it was a metaphor for real life situations; meaning that when it actually happens all we can do about it is move on

I think in showing the seasons, it showed the passage of time but instead of being repetitive, it used the Doe’s heavier body and feebleness to indicate years had passed and she was old and infirm. It’s so beautiful and sad, but I love how the animator had the universe/higher power give Death a few precious seconds more than with others he had touched for them to hug one another before the Doe died.

The bird was laying on its belly in a way that they normally don't do. It had probably fallen from itsnest and it was time to go. The wolf was old. The bunny just can't live forever and at least he wasn't eaten. The deer was given more seasons of life but her time had come. She needed to go because she was too old and too weak to live happily. It was cruel to keep her alive, and she sought mercy from suffering, and she knew her friend death would help her. Man I cried the first and fourth times watching the film and again watching your reaction.

If you notice, the bird was lying on the ground, obviously suffering, the wolf appeared to be old and also suffering, and the bunny didn't nibble at the grass and also was suffering when death visited them, so death was kind and not cruel... Death also wanted to have a friend and was saddened when he realized that he could never touch anyone or anything without killing it, as he did with the flower... So, he had to be "hands off" and yet he and the deer loved each other... And when the deer knew her time was near, she sought his touch and "asked" him to hug her, to release her.

I think in the beginning he doesn't actually reallize that he's killing the animals. I think he thinks that they relax under his touch and make sleep to wake up later and its only when he sees what he did to the flower that he realizes that anything he touches dies, hence why he didn't willingly touch the deer

ok so i feel like i need to explain what the meaning is to me.
