I am a HUGE fan of this channel andbyour videos so it comes straight from my Heart when I express my sincere disappointments with the voice-over and script in the last couple of videos. Kolo Kino is channel that hasn't yet receiver the amazing accolades that it deserves so I understand the Temptation Of trying to for example pander to a larger audience by adding more jokes and a constantly pseudo-optimistic voice but all it does is cheapen all of your hard work and great videos! You make very long videos about movie directors it is a niche "product" and are not supposed to hit a mainstream taget, so please hold on to the integrity for those of us that would gladly watch your videos without cheap parlor tricks, cuz your videos are already so amazingly good!!! Much better than the old VH1-Bullshit "documentaries" that you're seemingly trying to copy with the style of your last couple of videos

She's been in quite a few flops. I know no actor is always in successful films but maybe another actor may have failed on the record she has had, could be why she started producing? To guarantee roles and hopefully better films. (Don't get me wrong she has had massive hits but I was surprised by the flops)

Some terrible movies, but from all counts she is great to work with. I haven't heard anyone allude to her being difficult. I know I enjoy her interviews and her part in all the movies. Brad Pitt wasn't enough to get me to see Babylon and I can't stand Will Smith. Every actress has their place and am sure she will be around for ages.

@@OkoloKino Anything used in moderation is fine. But when you add a metaphor to every sentence it becomes almost unwatchable. Also, you probably want your videos to be understood by a wider audience than just the USA/UK. I'm from the US and could hardly get through it. Now just imagine the confusion and perplexity of people overseas whose English might not be perfect & who may have not heard of half of the metaphors used unrelated to the subject matter. I don't know if I'm expressing this correctly, or if the other viewers had the same experience with endless metaphors in this video. Would really like someone else's opinion on this. Nevertheless , you're still doing an awesome job and I hope your channel continues to grow and blow up!!

I understand where you're coming from. During the writing and editing process, it seemed essential to perfect each segment individually, but in doing so, we lost sight of the bigger picture. When you're editing 2-3 minutes a day, you often lose the overall thread, and upon reviewing the finished work, you become so accustomed to the presentation and style that you may even overlook obvious flaws. Thank you so much for such a detailed and insightful feedback; it will undoubtedly improve our work, I'm confident about that!

Man I didn't what happened to the original guy who made these but man they have gone down hill. I was so excited to see a couple new videos but as soon as it started playing it instantly felt corny like every other KZbinr instead of a well made doc with a nice voice and story telling cadence. I see your trying out a new style, but man the OG style was just so freaking enjoyable. I couldn't get past the first few minutes with that typical voice and literal endless metaphors. 😢

Hi Kolo Kino, I will start by saying that I think this channel is underrated,.. But I must admit that this video in particular turned me down (I tried to go further than the 4 minutes mark, but it's too painfull to ear) because of the VO that sounds like a cheap comedy skit. So I went back to listen to your video about Leonardo, and then everything was fine. Please go back to a simple narration, your videos are better than many Netflix documentaries. Thanks!

We tried our best to find a new style and create more lighthearted stories because our previous 4-5 videos were less attractive to viewers. Now I see it was a misstep in terms of style. Regarding the narrator, we have worked with many voice-over artists, so I'm not sure which one you're referring to. If you're talking about Gabe Perez, who narrated the Tarantino biography, unfortunately, we can't continue to work with him. I would appreciate it if you could tell me in detail why you didn't like the current narrator.
