I'm curious as to why Rockefeller isn't better known for his support of civil rights and women's rights. I'm a liberal Democrat and I was lead to believe that he was a right wing fiend. He was much more liberal than today's Democrats. Some people forget that the Republican party once had a liberal wing. He also is responsible for much of the public housing in New York state. I would like to make these facts about him more well known. He deserves it.

Although I cherish Gov Rockefeller's memory it must be said that the Mafia had the tightest grip on New York commerce and was unchecked; massive Heroine imports were killing thousands; The South Bronx and Harlem were war zones and Brooklyn was also out of control; the New York Police Department was a deeply corrupt cess pit of intrigue and dysfunction; there was massive demolition of neighborhoods where dreadful soulless public housing was built that became crime centers themselves; and the streets were mean and dangerous. Much of this was in the NY City but it was also the Governor's responsibility and he did little to change it.

It wasn't just the mafia. His ties to the Nazis and South American dictators left him up to all sorts of blackmail. He's in an interesting position, because his financial interest and fellow conspirators gave him a definite monetary reason to support Arabs/Palestine against Israel, and he originally did. But then Zionist spies let him know that they had dug up plenty of undisputable proof of his Nazi activities that would guaranteed prove him guilty of treason, and they traded that to get Rockefeller to use all of his "influence" (I put it in quotes because it was basically outright control) over all of the South American dictators to either vote for Israel or abstain. Rockefeller was willing to do pretty much anything to make money and gain power, and he also often acted as if he was above the law and could do anything he wanted to do, and that behavior opened him up to all sorts of blackmail by all sorts of bad actors. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he was also beholden to the mafia due to blackmail or even just because he was getting a share of the action.

+kern39743 he wasn't racist....just a politician who was relatively blind to the nitty-gritty of race relations as a senator from a state where that didn't really matter. oh and of course one of his campaign managers was william rehnquist, who was a staunch believer in white supremacy. pesky fact right there!
@thesoundofthesuburbs
@thesoundofthesuburbs 9 жыл бұрын
+Frogspawn_Johnson I would not say that race relations did not matter in Arizona. I believe it was one of the states subject to oversight by the Voting Rights Act. That being said, I do not think he was blind. He simply felt that the benefits of waiting for court action outweighed those of enacting federal legislation that would compromise states' and individual rights. Rehnquist was not a white supremacist. I think his interpretation of Plessy v. Ferguson was incredibly wrong, however, that does not make him a white supremacist.
@frogspawn_johnson37

+fosterliberty Several points here: 1) Arizona wasn't bailed into coverage until '75; 2) saying that AZ "didn't really matter" is a bit of snark coming from someone who thinks, that admittedly with the benefit of hindsight, I feel Goldwater was very naive; 3) truthfully Fannin's Arizona was very mixed wrt civil rights (his govt backed bilingual education to but consistently slighted black residents, boosting Edwin Walker & infamously refusing to relent in the 'showdown' at the capitol building in 64); 4) Goldwater objected to public accommodations laws in general, esp Title VII (like his legal adviser, Robert Bork, advocated)-- it wasn't just a matter of federalism for him; 3) unlike Goldwater, who I think wasn't personally racist, there's just no getting around Rehnquist's racial beliefs at the time (see his Nixon tapes references, his role Operation Eagle Eye etc).

Mitt Romney said that the GOP would not be back for awhile. That's what he said in 2020. Then Mike Lee was talking about him. Lots of high school drama. Some of that is fun, but it keeps taking a dark turn and it results in me getting stalked & demeaned. I should be taking the bar right now.

Constant drama, constant harassment, obsession, and doing anything to get my attention isn't how I should be spending my time or energy. It is consistent with what would happen if they needed me to be dependent to maintain control over me. Which is what went on the last decade. I am moving forward and trust it will be handled legally.

Curious what happened when I googled about him last summer. From this perspective it seems like that might have been related to how I got harmed. It's not clear what is related to what exactly. I am glad I went to NY physically and pleased the Gov there is competent.

Had I known some of these things sooner, I would not have been okay with that and would have stated that more clearly.

A lot of this seems to be done because of something having to do with the Kennedy family. That is not something I can navigate and I am grateful enough of the members of that family are aware of my accomplishments outside the 2013 on show. I'm moving forward with those who have an interest in progress, education, independence, and equality. This isn't working for me. Happy to do this for the families they tied in with mine.

Going to address this head on: When I wrote "Clinton lies" in 2019, I wasn't sure who the President was. I wasn't sure what was going on. I was in a box for months and dying. Psychotic. I hope some get the opportunity to do a day of what i did for nearly five months to get better context. It may help to understand my "brainwash" comments because that is literally what happened. That's what that is.

They are obsessed with what I am going to do next. I need privacy. Direct that to who it needs to go to. They watch to see who I rely on. That is sad and pathetic given who I was before the contrived situations that led to excessive dependency 2013. That was very lucrative to those who were in contact with my family and those around me. Not great at all.
