I'm 78 but I never heard of this man or his church. Great video, very inspiring. What a man and a godly man. On a side note, their music was terrific--way ahead of the times. He seemed to transcend denominationalism so thoroughly. Feb. 3, 2023, St. Joseph, MO, USA.

We have emigrated, but this was my church in Whitewell, on the Shore Road, and I miss it so much. Pastor McConnell inspired me, convicted me, filled me with good bread, saved my husband and loved me. I miss his preaching so much….I’m wandering around in the desert now, although after watching this I’m so eager to get back to Christ 🙏 please pray I find my way back 🙏

Our earthly lost is Heaven's gain. What a day that Dr. James McConnell is having. Falling to sleep here and awaking in the presences of his Lord and Saviour. What a time is he having. I enjoyed his sermons and the sing at Whitewell not long ago. I was hoping that one day I would be able to cross over from USA to Ireland to worship with him and the folks at Whitewell. But soon and very soon we will rejoicing altogether around the throne of Jesus. Our deepest sympathy to his family and to the Whitewell church. Our prayers is with ya.

These people had a great thirst and longing for the Lord Jesus and He fullfilled their desire! They should be an encouragement for us to pursue what they also pursued: a deeper intimacy with God! They were not seeking fame..the fruit came because of Jesus in their life!

I miss the Pastor so much. I argued with him on the phone etc but always left loving him . He was like my late da. He was a Gospel preacher.. He did ask me things about me that were not comfortable. I Thank God for not being comfortable . God convicts not condemn. My Big bro and sis in law belong to Whitewell They both loved him so much. He came to our church in Southampton with James Forsyth when he was about 18 and you could tell than he was going to be a great preacher. Myself and a friend of mind sang a duet in the Whitewell church soon after it was open on a Sunday evening with 180 there…how things have grown since those day. He sure was a focused man of God.

Spurgeon Pastor mcconnell Bob Gass iain paisley Leonard ravenhill and all the old preachers are together in heaven for great bible study our lord jesus will be head of course and these preachers will share in there views on scripture that will be a great debate but u tube wont be recording it the word is Jesus he will ask there views on scripture because on earth he inspired what they preached wonderful .
