I remember watching a metal documentary along with my g-f. Rob Halford described his life journey and his life in general. He mentioned his dying fan he talked to once. It was one of the most touching moments of my life. He remembered how weak his fan sounded and how happy he was when he had heard Robs voice shortly before his death. Can't deny being lil bit weary that night. This amazing story only cemented my adoration for this singer. Long live Rob Halford.

I got into JP in 1987. I had their posters all over my walls, had all their albums and was a bass player to boot! I fucking LOVE JP and Metal would not have happened if not for them!!! God bless those guys for giving us so much joy with their music!

In 1982 I was 13 and a young heavy metal fan. In the early 80’s heavy metal was exploding in popularity and one day I walked into a local record store and bought the album that is my fav album of all time. Screaming for Vengeance introduced me to Judas Priest. A big reason is Rob Halford’s incredible vocals. Even today Judas Priest continues giving fans great new music. Priest rules.

I was 17 in 1982… Sad Wings Of Destiny hooked me in first, SFV was something much heavier though, their newer, heavier sound at the time.

He is an animal lover (cats and dogs especially) is enough to make me a fan of him even if I wasn't a Judas Priest fan but I am. Rob not only made the leather look cool in heavy metal he gave JP concerts that extra badass look. Rob is indeed a great guy. Heavy metal music of today owes much to Rob and all the members of Judas Priest for their fine music and for being genuine good people.

Met him in person at a radio station he showed up to do an interview. I waited out front. He walked up all by himself, we chatted a bit, he signed an autograph for another fan, then went inside. This was the Turbo Lover era. Also met Richie from Bon Jovi after Rob went in the Bldg

Met Rob many times, he's the one who gave me my name "Metal Matt", top guy!! Incredible singer, and a very down to earth dude if you ever catch him around Walsall. Have had some great chats. Great he's a cat lover too, I've ended up homing a couple of street cats here in Mexico where I'm living these days, including a very sweet kitten 😻 who's getting more tame every day 🙌 good to see Rob does his bit for them too!

I got introduced to Preist by my stepbrother in 83. I was 15. British Steel. I later bought the live in Japan 79 I think, unleashed in the East. To this day, 2025, I haven't heard a better lp besides Fuel for life tour, Maiden 85, live after Death. Double live Gonzo Ted Nugent 1978, Foghat live 77, Skynyrd one more for the road 76, Kiss Alive ll were some of my favorite lp's I discovered, and the list goes on. When I 1st opened up the Kiss Alive ll LP and seen the Blood, fire and explosions, I thought it was the greatest thing I had ever seen as a 5th grader. I started playing guitar at 14 after this. Ace was my inspiration, but the worst guitarist compared to all these awesome bands that I grew up with. As far as Preist, I like all there lp's, the early 70's are bad recordings but still dig it. When I first heard the Hellion Electric eye, I thought it was the best thing I have ever heard until I heard Defenders of the Faith. In the early 80's I discovered Monowar who were banned here for a time. I think this band's singer is right up there with Rob, speaking of Eric Adams. I could write a book about my life and the bands that influenced me. God bless you all!
