When I first saw LifeWeavers pull ability. I literally thought.. "Oh cool they brought Leap of Faith from WoW into overwatch. So I'm usually never irritated with a Lifeweaver player on my team when I'm tank or dps. Even when they are trolling. Because I'm used to it in WoW. I usually giggle every time I'm pulled.

Although Mercy does pretty much everything better than LW but she 's still more vulnerable to enermy than LW since LW has abilities that can help him survive much longer in a fight or even getting ambushed

I wouldn't say "carry" but he can have a reasonable impact in the game. He can be annoying to deal with if he's constantly saving people, though his healing currently isn't too high to do that often (it gets buffed next season). He has no full on carry potential though, as another comment said he relies on his teammates :/.
