The Light Division Passing Out Parade Friday 26 May 1989 At Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester.

The Light Infantry was formed on 10 July
1968 from the four regular Light Infantry
Battalions of The Somerset and Cornwall
Light Infantry, The Kings Own Yorkshire
Light infantry, The King’s Shropshire
Light infantry and The Durham Light Infantry
and The Light Infantry Volunteers.
The Light Infantry Depot at Shrewsbury
became The Light Infantry Depot. The
Light Division Training Depot moved to Sir John Moore
Barracks in Winchester in 1986.
