I don't really know how to not write a generic comment here but even if it is ima just write my thoughts: I had the premiere open with my bluetooth speaker connected to my computer and rushed upstairs after I heard the premiere music and realized I forgot. I didn't really know what to expect from the video, but I remembered loving episode I. The film itself was super professional and it went by soooo fast. Even watching it the second time on stream felt like 10 minutes. This really shows how hard work can pay off, huge congrats to the crew! :D

Something I am aware of from the start. It's unfortunate, but it's way outside of my niche and I completely understand that. I am just happy to share such a huge passion project with those who are interested in it. We didn't make this for KZbin, we made this for us, and that's the most important part :) How it does on KZbin is just an added bonus.

Also, out of curiosity, was any of the music done by you guys? If so, it makes this project even more impressive. If not, then I am still just as impressed, because finding copyright-free music, disregarding the fact that it is a movie soundtrack, is hard.

We shot what was on the video back when we shot that scene, but the full contents of what is on it won’t be revealed until Episode 3. That video kicks everything into gear right at the start. A line I think a few people missed was @23:42 Gives a bit of context to why that was a big deal. We’ll learn a lot more about it next episode

This is so awesome! I am also a bedwars KZbinr and I want to make my own short films- but not for KZbin, just for my own enjoyment. I have a camera and mic and a few stories in mind. I just don’t know who to film with and where to film. Are all of these people just your irl friends or did you get some people to film with you? How did you get some of these city/neighborhood shots without anyone around? One last question, how did you get the amazing music and sound effects? Hi there! I’m the Writer and Directed with Target (Jarod)! If you watched our old films when back when, you would know that it was really just me, my brothers, and a couple friends making dumb videos throughout our lives. After high school, we started taking it more seriously and we’ve been more than lucky to have dedicated friends who love to help out! Nearly everyone involved in this production was a friend. It took months to coordinate schedules and filming days and everything, especially for a project of this scale. As for the locations, we got kinda lucky. We got permission for certain locations and others we just filmed and hoped for the best. We’ve experienced interruptions more on other films than this one thankfully but it’s unavoidable. There was actually a wedding going on at the walking trail when we filmed that day. Music was composed by Taran Mitchell who has worked with us since “Reclamation” and he delivered a fantastic score! A lot of the sound effects were from EpidemicSound. I don’t know where you are in your filmmaking journey, but keep it up! It’s hard and not everything you make is gonna be good, but that’s all part of the experience. You can see some older films we did in Target’s short film playlist and you’ll see how we improved over time. Honestly, a lot of the “how did you do that?” Answers are so mundane that you actually think to yourself, “that’s it?” I hope this helped! Feel free to ask anything else. Keep working on those films!
