Thank you for doing this! I've been looking for mandolin lessons online and yours are great.

Great song, definitely next on my list! I have to finish the Silver Spear first, though.

Now learning this one. The silver spear was my last one too. I always get the part A fairly easily and then struggle with part B. I don't know why! lol

When you play it fast, it feels like you start spacing the 8th notes unevenly, as if dotted or if it was swing. I don't want to be a dick about it, but aren't the 8th notes supposed to be spaced evenly and not in that sorta galloping rhythm? Is it just a flavour you add, perhaps? EDIT: I wanted to add that I think it's cool that you make videos. The mandolin is underappreciated.

Not with Irish trad tunes

That's actually one meaning of lilt in Irish music, so it's especially fitting here

Like stated before, with Irish tunes, the player has a lot more freedom to goof around and put their own personal spin on things. I have a habit of playing triplets instead of regular alternate picking in songs that are 3/3 or 3/4

Way too fast with the notes brother, would help to break some of it down more
