The lime kilns at Miller’s Dale…. What went on there?

Having worked in a few limestone quarries it amazes me how quickly nature reclaims the land once quarrying operations cease. When those kilns were going it certainly would not have been a very pleasant place to take the dog for a walk but it looks like a nice place now.

Thank you so much for your comment. I can only imagine what it was like to work in a quarry. Hard graft for sure, noisy and dusty I’d imagine. Yes nature takes over very quickly. Kind regards. 👍🏻
