Nivi wants to ignore the inevitability that outliers will be doing the, heavy lifting, major creative works, in advancing philosophy (as in every field) and then wants to redefine the status of philosophy on the subjunctive of what it would be like if there were not outliers. There is something very left-wing about her taking envy laden shots at the successfull who did the most good.

No Islamic Philosopher among the panelists. The so called modern Western Philosophy has got what it has got as a result of Islamic Philosophers and Philosophy.. Aristotle work was saved by Muslim and brought back to west, cause the western people denounced Philosophy all together.

There's not really a distinction between the Islamic and non Islamic philosophies except for those pertaining to Islam per say (not even the Islamic God; the philosophical arguments concerning God for the Islamic and Christian philosophers are more or less the same, they tend to be adaptions of Aristotle).
