The codex makes you learn so much. Like for example Lodun. He says that he should be the ruler of Duviri and that Thrax took the place. But at the same time, Lodun is an enbodiment of Thraxs anger and he let him loose on the Archabor to destroye the "Creepy void kids with Black eyes" but Lodun set himself free and Thrax just let him go. So what are they really? Thraxs emotions? Real people? Orowyrms in human/orokin form? Because the seem to all have a history before Thrax.

There is a house on the hill at titan's rest with an NPC that barricaded themselves in there. By getting close to the npc you can trigger several dialogue lines that imply paranoia or some sort of awareness of the paradox happening, trying to escape something, along with references to albrecht entrati and the man in the wall. Highly recommend you check it out if you like lore tid-bits and easter eggs.

During the second dream, our Warframe is impaled through the exact same location, but from the front instead, and slouched into the same pose as the Operator/Drifter once War is broken.

I think the reason the paradox starts to happen is that Ball-ass used that weird Void portal device to get rid of us, but also caused some void mumbo jumbo, us being all emotional and whatnot to connect us and Drifter together. So Drifter got hand, with which he could finally get out of the loop and replace us in the New War for a time.

It's a bit of a lot of things. Drifter was able to escape because of Lotus' hand yes. But ultimately it was Operators deal with Man In The Wall that really set things in motion. Because of how eternalism works, we had already made the deal with MITW, but also hadn't yet. Ballas definitely helped inadvertently.

I picked up on both the stab and the hand. I recognized the Paracesis silhouette. The hand took me a minute to piece together, but I got there eventually. It didn't help that my operator has the infested-looking suit as the appearance it chose to pull for the hand, but I generally use the voidshell suit, so it looked VERY different on my screen

Just wanna point a few things out (spoilers if you haven't done TNW, also some of this is obvious, some people just haven't put 2 & 2 together, so I hope this helps) Updated cause some people have pointed out incorrect parts of the things I've stated, so I've corrected it. - The events of duviri are happening in parallel to the rest of the game, the stabbing is the starting point of the deal the Operator makes in The New War. - Natah is a sentient mimic who was protected from the void inside a cradle similar to the Operators. However, she was sent to spy on the Orokin by mimicking Margulis during the old war. Caught and reprogrammed by the Orokin to become the Lotus, she commanded the Tenno rather than finishing her final mission to kill them. - Time isn't linear, so by the time we play the Drifter in The New War, the events of Duviri have finished which is why the Drifter is aware of the deal during The New War before the Operator makes it, as indicated by when he tells Ordis (asking about his void powers) he "hasn't got them yet". The Mask found hanging from the tree when you first enter the Zariman to meet the Drifter is also a hint to Duviri but now also a callback to the Drifter having already escaped - Lua was hidden in the void following the events of The old war (I said during before), after the Lotus & Tenno turned on the Orokin killing most of the executors and council members whilst they celebrated their victory over the sentients. As for the timeline reasoning, by the time the Drifter enters the Operator timeline, the Operator has already been stabbed by Ballas and fallen into the void allowing for the Drifter to exist in the Operator timeline. During the decision of who will continue The New War its implied only one version can exist at a time, hence the decision of who will finish TNW.

also don't forget that when teshin asks the drifter how he got there he was like, ""It's been too long for me. Maybe I was on that ship... Or maybe... the same way you did." or something along those lines. meaning he doesn't know if he was on the ship and grew old in this cycle under thrax or just dropped in same way tenshin had after being knocked out or neck snapped or whatever by Erra and the void portal likely scooped him up soon after the operator goes. The tenno got stabbed and thrown into the void, and potentially got paradoxically eternalismed into being the drifter, Himself from the ship as if they were never rescued, but also, a version of themself that died and fell into the void same as teshin and lived a different life there. but then the drifter who at the end can leave duviri would paradox eternalise back into the tenno with how teshin says, "Be warned... you will not be as you are now... but as you were then" and so the cycle starts over until it comes full circle again after with drifter coming out sometime after the kid is stabbed and takes over the ship and stuff. Cause why else would the hand be trying to make us "remember"? I dunno if maybe Ballas knew something too, cause he was like, "Even hell wasn't hot enough to split them", as if he knew they were entangled or something. since only drifter or operator can exist in the system at any given time gameplay wise also and they kinda toggle between one another when speaking with lotus after the quest too.

I don’t think that’s the case for the Tenno. Duviri is a place created by the drifter when the zariman was in the void through the conceptual embodiment (which doesn’t require void powers as it is a reaction between a physical being and the void) and then forgot about it, which is why he was stuck until we finished the quest. The lotus telling him to remember was probably just his own consciousness given voice by the hand. It couldn’t be a cycle because there are multiple breaking points, the first of which is the drifter and operator meeting face to face in our reality

The Void is poison to the Sentients because Sentients absorb Void energy like sponges. That is their design "flaw." Any Void energy nearby is immediately sucked into their bodies and begins to shut them down. This was *intended* to make them incapable of using solar railways, which function by directing Void energy into energetic highways. It just turns out that, due to the *very misunderstood* nature of Void energy, it turned them into undead constructs if exposed to enough of them; at that point, you need technology capable of counteracting the force of Entropy and literally reversing time in order to cure an Eidolon from undeath... which is exactly what Archons are - healed Eidolons. Meaning Natah is currently an Archon, while Erra is not (Erra's body was taken over by a different Sentient Intelligence who chose its identity to be a Ram, instead of a humanesque/divine identity like Erra, Natah, or Hunhow).

So lotus talks to drifter a few times. One thing i never understood is why driftet cares for the lotus the way the tenno does. And ordis for that matter. Drifter comes to the system after duviri. I suppose in the bap between lotus "dying" and ballas establishing full control. The drifter behaved as if they were the original tenno and time had just progressed with them not having transference. If they came to the system, it's possible Ordis locked onto them. Maybe lotus guided them? But it doesn't explain their deep connection. Drifter seems to have memories of the main world. Were they merged? They can't be. Because one of them was reliving the zariman incident and making a deal at the time. Which btw, did that flashback mission that was all together like 8 minutes take the full amount of time between the stab and the lotus fight to conclude?

Drifter and tenno are same person but with different realities.. the man in the wall when did the hand shake merged these two realities. Drifter gains the power mid way while fighting the sentient lotus ( I have full new war cutscene video incase you are not able to remember this) since operator and drifter scenarios in the new war quest were happening in parallel.

Our Operator dies in our timeline. When Lotus's hand enters Void Wally offer Lotus's hand to the other-us-Operator on Zariman ship. While the Operator accepts the deal, Drifter on Duviri in Void takes Lotus's hand. All of it makes 3 timelines to be merged. In our timeline old Operator dies but new Operator and Drifter shows up instead as one being there.

The Operator never died, we canonically can't die die to some void plot thing, which is why when ever we die in-game we get booted back into our Warframe, but at the time our Warframe was unresponsive it seems and we couldn't complete transference.

This small detail has me thinking, what ever happened to the original Paracesis? Ballas stabs the operator with it, holds onto it, and… it’s never brought up ever again. Ordis makes a new Paracesis towards the end of the New War and Ballas briefly steals it from us (again) to stab the Lotus in the chest. So… what exactly happened to the first Paracesis he stole from us? Maybe I’m thinking too hard about this. Maybe the Paracesis is just a macguffin for DE to use to draw a parallel between the operator/Drifter and to make animating Ballas easier by giving him a predetermined weapon.

I watched someone stream the quest, they explicitly stated they never built the Paracesis because they didn’t want to hunt eidolons for the materials, and Ordis still said the same thing, “I’ve taken the liberty of rebuilding the Paracesis.”

I missed it, probably it's more apparent if you play them one after another... So Tenno's dead body IS the meteor. And that meteor saved the Tenno from the Paradox (in the "beginning"). This is the paradox they are talking about.

Drifter is the Tenno that was not saved by Lotus (the one we played so far). It's alternate reality. Drifter uses that hand to recreate lotus in new war when you see lotus sitting in Tenno pod of our ship

After the quest we’re free from duviri’s loop since we recovered our memories, so we can go back and forth whenever we want

At the end of the Duviri quest, you get an option to leave or stay in Duviri. That pretty much implies that at some point, Drifter leaves Duviri and enters the Origin System. Then there's like a few missing events where Drifter finds the near dead Lotus and tries to survive the events in New War after Ballas successfully conquers it.

@@edward3190 Warframes are controlled through void powers. Pieces of sentients can actually channel void energy, just like amps which are based on the eidolons. So I guess the hand getting detached and thrown in the void absorbed the energy and works in a very similar way to transference

When Teshin said that Natah's hand allowed for some lind of pseudo transference, it got me thinking. If Natah's hand can do that, wouldn't the rest of her be able to as well? If that's true, I think we got an answer as to how the warframe woke up in second dream. It was natah going "it's transference time" and transferenced all over the place

Which is a bit of a plothole. Sentients can hack machines, like the orowyrms. They are allergic to void so operating a warframe should be impossible.

​@@arsarma1808 duviri is a literal mind palace drenched in void. Everything is under the drifters control. The drifter doesn't necessarily need anything extra to transfer, and the hand could be merely flair or for new players to get transference better

@@arsarma1808 Fair. But keep in mind there are exceptions to that void allergy, like the Archons. And Natah has been said to be exceptional. As Erra put it "But you have something our people have never had before, Natah. You're stained by their wickedness" That, coupled with the centuries she spent in the void on the moon.. it would make sense to me if she gained a level of resistence to the sentients' void weakness. But even if she didn't, Natah has already been shown to have some level of control over the warframes. In the very first quest she's able to surge the warframe's systems. What else can she do? Though I do agree it would be quite the plot hole, and it's best kept as a headcannon.

It would be a plot hole if Lotus can control a Warframe. Because then we wouldn't need the Void Children to fight the Old Wars, we just need to produce 1 million Lotus' hand, and then everyone can control a Warframe. So I think Drifter's ability still comes from the Void. Lotus taught Tenno the knowledge of Transference. The hand contains some of Lotus' memory which has the knowledge, that the Drifter needs to control the warframe.

It's not clear when exactly the Drifter gains the ability to control a warframe. New Wars shows that she learned that after Lotus was revived. Duviri Paradox shows that she learned in Teshin's cave, which is supposed to happen before she reaches Origin system.
