KaijuTaxi To be fair, most of the characters that were from the first Lion King movie in Simba's Pride were only minor characters (in the plot of Simba's Prode that is). Simba is the most significant character carried (maybe with Rafiki), and Simba's now grown up fully (and Rafiki was always a wildcard). Honestly though, my preference may be a weird nostalgia thing, I haven't actually watched either fim in years (despite the fact they are among my favourite films of all time, I only have them on VHS, and my VCR is broken).

My fathers life was exactly like mufasa, he lost literally everything to friends. Ended up moving back in with his mother with nothing but a bag of clothes when i was 6. He eventually moved to south america. I determined when young to redeem his loss and overcome. I learned that greatness is not in your deeds but your heart. You will be measured by your mercy and love. Nothing is worth more than mercy and compassion.

The guys who wrote the music for the Lion King actually wrote so much music for the film that a lot of it couldn't be used. This is one of the songs that wasn't used, but was later used in The Lion King 2. I wish they'd have put this in the original.

This song just hits me so much. I just saw the remake and it really hit home for me. My grandpa passed away about a month ago and the entire time during the service everyone kept saying how much I looked like him. I was a spitting image of him. I didn't believe it until I saw a picture of him at my age and I look exactly like him. And before I left my grandmother said don't be sad, he is always with you and he lives in you now. Your memories keep him alive, never forget those and he will always be there. This song reflects exactly what she said. Thank you for such a beautiful song.
