One of their amazing clips belongs to the song "Shoemaker", the only earthling that has his ashes buried on the moon! He was an American scientist and co-discovered Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with his wife Carolyn S. Shoemaker and David H. Levy. He was also deeply involved in NASA and the moon landings, was on the list of astronaut candidates but in the end rejected for his physical condition. NASA honoured him after he died in a car accident by sending part of his ashes to the moon, in the crater named after him. The clip has a spoken text from Shakespeare (by Tuomas' elfish wife Johanna Kurkela) that was engraved in his urn. The clip is (also) mesmerizing because of the last part sung by Floor. Tuomas was not happy with the ending he had written for this song, so Floor worked out the majestic ending in her little home studio. When released the song was considered too difficult to be played live, but Floor nailed it live! Check Pinkpop or Hellfest festivals after watching the official Nightwish clip.

Well...his name is Erno „Emppu“ Matti Juhani Vuorinen . The prankster of the band....... One of the most underrated guitar-players in the world..... Whatever Tuomas wants him to play: Bam.....here it is..... And with so much emotion and precision......its incredable...... Some (incl me) see him at the same level like David Gilmor.

Good reaction again. 🤘 The guitarist's nickname is "Emppu" and his official name is Erno Vuorinen. He's technically a really good guitarist but he usually plays "what the song needs". In the current line-up he is the original founding member of Nightwish together with maestro Tuomas.

For official music videos, I would definitely recommend Noise, Amaranth (with Anette Olzen as lead singer), Perfume of the Timeless from current album, Elan, and Scaretale (also with Anette). Emppu Vuorinen is the guitarist. No solo stuff but has collaborated with others you may wish to check out.

This is second only to _Storytime_ among Nightwish songs that always make me move - a really joyous bop. For MV, I would suggest _The_ _Islander,_ _Noise,_ _Lanternlight,_ or _Elan._ The lyric videos for _Tribal_ and _Harvest_ should also be considered.

Alpenglow is the glow behind a mountain. Floor is Dutch but speaks many languages as I`ve heard her speak the native tongue at whatever venue they are at. Emppu is the lead guitar player and the ``class clown``. Troy also plays all kinds of guitars, he can probably play anything. Their is a book I got from Amazon ``Nightwish every album, every song`` by Simon McMurdo that is truly fascinating. As for music video`s the one that stands out is How`s The Heart although anyone is awesome.

Tribal is excellent they did a video with snippets of different concerts, but for me and many others Nightwish are best live. A lot of the videos are from years ago and for me they don't ding any bells🇬🇧

Any NW music video is top-notch. Just go to their YT channel and pick something. Even the lyric videos are very well done. I prefer live videos for the entertainment value, but the music or lyric videos help me understand better the symbolism that Tuomas infuses into the song.

Well ... ever checked out the video of the Carpenter? It's just awkward and Tuomas singing doesn't help either. It's a fact that MOST of their stuff is awesome, but even NW had to learn from their mistakes.

The reason why so many fans don't ask for early music videos is that several feature the previous singers Tarja Turunen, operatic, and Anette Olzon, pop, and they prefer Floor's live interpretations. Neither were bad singers but both were less versatile.

Live versions are almost always better. Maybe do some of their new material for which there is no live version yet. Perfume of the Timeless, The Day Of..., An Ocean of Strange Islands, etc. The official lyric video for Procession is one of my favorites, as well.

The non-live Nightwish is grand, but, IMO, it doesn't take you to the heart of Goose-Bump City. I advise continuing with live NW and going into the branch rabbit holes of Epica and Sabaton. Few fans of NW don't love them as well. You'll go apeshit over Epica, but Sabaton is where I think you should go next. I think you've got a Sabaton-shaped hole in your soul and have had no way of knowing it. Do "No Bullets Fly" -- the animated one with tons of views, or "Bismarck" or "The Last Stand" or "40-1" from Poland. Just pick the one with most views and you won't go wrong. ••• PEACES!!!
