Beware Yapping: I truly think he is not entirely what Smosh bargained for when they let him join, which makes it even better. Like, I think they lowkey excpected someone "boyish" GenZ who is good at videogames to rejuvinate this aspect of the Games Channel, yet he has the most "Fairy-Type Pokémon" & "Scrungly Fella doing his Best" Energy that is just super endearing as is displayed by him having great chemistry with all the female members on screen. Very charming, not hung up on performative masculinity at all. I also think he is suprisingly good at accents, just overall not how I expected him to be on Smosh. Way better. I can not really find a good word for it, but he brings something new for sure.

@@avryantoinette Maybe it is just me. But, I hate how some Millennials of my age try too hard to be 80's millennials and even Gen X. They love dissing anything Gen Z, as if they and Gen Z are two starkly different generations. @@daanachmad4032 I definitely feel this! I don’t think he’s been a good addition at all. I think he’s been performing terribly and is completely out of his depth. Not having a member of the team be somewhat familiar with improv is only going to work against them - it makes them stand out more in a bad way - so in a way adopting him was almost like sabotaging him - because he’d never really be able to keep up and be seen as dead weight. Which really, is what he is. This is why getting people who are somewhat qualified is just better way to go. I hope Trevor is doing well in his life - but in terms of Smosh I don’t see it for him..
@felipeaquino62642 ай бұрын
Most of the videos he is in it's not about acting. He's mostly in smosh games videos, beopardy, reddit stories. He has been super funny when the cast work with him and not against him, he is gen z, loves video games, knows a lot about internet, which brings a whole new vibe to smosh. We can't be unfair, it's a recent change, for him and for the channels, so we have to be patient and also support when things go great. You can see that when a video is only Trevor + one or two other people he becomes more goofy, comfortable and funny, so let's show support in this cases :)

Naur. I politely disagree. I was actually worried at first as well cuz I thought he would bring an "edgy gamer bro" energy, but I am so positively suprised he brings a mellow, approachable "For the Girls™️" Vibe, if anything. I dont know, he just radiates inclusive and safe energy and actually does a good "straight man" next to the wild characters to actually keep a video moving forward by sticking to the topic.
@plaguedocter4791Ай бұрын
Wow this is really mean
@avryantoinetteАй бұрын
Totally valid perspective! I disagree a lot -- he's been one of my favs since he's showed up. I definitely see the moments where he's "on" and where he's "off" -- same as any of the other cast members -- but his "on" is really, really good. I think he's doing just fine and I like having him on board. I think the biggest area of improvement I see as an outsider would be picking a comedic lane when it comes to competitive games; if you play a competitive role you have to be equally hilarious whether you are winning or losing, vs. if you play a non-competitive role, your goal is to be funny in a different way? I think he shoots for "competitive" a lot when his style of humor fits better with non-competitive angles. But that's just something that takes time to practice, and something I learned in a non-comedic "comedy" role in friend groups around the exact same time at his age, tbh. But as long as people are being polite, I think it's fine to voice feelings about what works and doesn't
