The Little Mermaid (2023) Decorated Cookies! | Royal Icing Cookie Decorating Compilation

My dad brought me to see The Little Mermaid when I was a kid and I’m so excited to do the same with my daughters to see the live action version! You know I love celebrating special occasions with sweets, so I made these cookies of Ariel (Halle Bailey), Ursula (Melissa McCarthy), and Sebastian (voiced by Daveed Diggs).
It took me about 2 hours to paint Ariel, 5 hours to paint Ursula, and 1 hour to paint Sebastian using edible paint from Sweet Sticks, which doesn’t include all the time it takes to make the icing, mix the icing colors, and let it dry. Overall it’s a 2-3 day process. It’s a lot of work but I LOVE it!!

I mean this as a great compliment, but I got big Bob Ross vibes from the paintings. Some brushes, waves felt like how Bob would do it, especially when you painted Ursula. I have to say that when you painted Ariel, I at first was like ehhh and then once you painted her eyelashes, I went OH! It's a shame that cookies are meant to be eaten.

When I first saw it, I thought, what's the big deal... just some edible images on cookies. Wow! Not to proud to admit I was wrong. Excellent job. I can't believe they were hand- painted. I absolutely love these. Although it would be difficult to make any money doing these, I'm sure you had hours in these. Or they were super expensive. Either way, absolutely beautiful job. Sorry I can only give 1 thumbs up.
