Long before Oliver made his daring escape to Sodor, he lived on a branch line on the mainland, with a group of engines he called friends.
He wasn’t quite the Oliver you know today. He wasn’t the engine who ever could consider running away, not even from scrap.
But here is how he became the engine who would.
This is a story he’s wanted to tell you for a long time. So, I think it’s about time I let him.

Well, it’s finally here. It might not the same as what I imagined when I set out to make it 5 years ago. But I think it’s genuinely all the better for it.
It may not be perfect, but I think it’s a more than fitting end for this channel. Going strong since 2012. And it has seen me through a lot of the low points in my life and has even been indirectly responsible for some of the highest of high points!
And I cannot stress this enough, but seriously THANK YOU. For every view, like, comment, subscription, etc. Thank you to everyone. You’re all pretty fantastic.
Extra special shout out to all the mates I’ve made along the way. You all know who you are, and you ain’t half bad.
Now is a good time to let go. Because if I don’t now, then when will I ever? Everyone’s got to move on eventually, grow up if you will. My turn.
