@jacqueshealthy64566 жыл бұрын
Why should that seem so strange? Could it be the propaganda of the medical industrial complex? She lays out the case for Atkins fairly completely and convincingly. If Atkins missed something, it was not emphasizing the quality of the meats and fats, the importance of fat, and the centrality of plant fiber, green veggies. He was exactly right about carbs, grains. Terry Wahls,' MD MS diet really fixed it, IMHO.

Another thing I want to mention about the leafy greens... certain sprouts and what they market as baby leaves, are high in nutrients but as soon as you cook them the nutrient levels drop dramatically. So it is important to include in your diet raw foods, uncooked foods. They did a study and found that when your diet is mainly cooked food, your immune system reacts to food like it is a disease... but as soon as your diet becomes 51% or more of raw food the immune response to food stops. So to bring your body back to a healthy immune response, raw food is essential. Lots of ways to get more raw foods, fresh whole fruits, smoothies with blended fruits and veg, salads, sushi...

her claims are wrong and her knowledge is severely limited. Why don't you test her claims yourself? Try testing whether she is a nurse as she claims, or even if there are 20 steps in glycolysis as she says in every video of hers. Or if fat is high satiety. Or everything you eat goes through your liver. The thumbs down folk are educated enough to see through the BS.

after doing a lot of resarch and trying different diets over 30yrs my diet now is %40 fruit, %30 veggies, %30 legumes, grains, tubers and nuts. as far as cooking i usually lightly steam veggies, a few raw here and there. i like steamed wild rice, sweet potato, and lots of fruit. artichokes, olive, avocado and nuts have good oils (especially almond) i use a bit of coconut oil and olive oil. (small amounts) there is a big difference between sugar, and wild-rice (or wheat bread etc) high carbs are not bad. refined carbs are bad. they recently found DHA and EPA are made by the body and if you stop getting it in your food, the body INCREASES production. there is no need to consume EPA and DHA. as Dr O'niel said, protein is broken down into amino acids. that process, creates toxins (she fails to mention). and people have lived off of banana, coconuts etc. there are millions of vegans, and i have not seen even 1 with kwashiorkor. kwashiorkor is the name for protein deficiency, and youve never heard of it because no one gets it, not even vegans. you have to be calorie deficient or eat just refined white sugar. Moose, gorilla, chimps, rhino, elk, elephant, giraffe.... not one eats steak or protein shakes. all vegan, none are protein deficient, all stronger than you and me.
