OK I don't know if you watched the Lizzie McGuire show but Gordo and Lizzie getting together at the end of this movie was ICONIC. They had a slow burn all throughout the show while Lizzie was obsessed with Ethan (before realizing he was dumb as a brick and giving up). My brain literally exploded when they kissed it was like the biggest deal. Also Kate's redemption arc of being just totally chill with Lizzie doing this after bullying her throughout the show was pretty cool

Everytime I say hey now (usually when I’m yelling at my cats) I start singing “this is what dreams are made of” also I completely thought that Isabella was played by Hillary Duff’s sister so I understand why you thought they were different people, it was probably just a misconception that got spread amongst our generation because I’m pretty sure I remember talking to friends about her sister being in the movie

Okay, upon a recent rewatch one thing has been bugging me: Pablo's entire plan falls apart during their rehearsal. When he tells Lizzie to actually sing along to the track, he can hear that Lizzie's a good singer. If his goal was to humiliate Isabella by turning her mic off, it wouldn't make any difference if she could still sing the song.

I’m so old I saw this movie in cinemas. I was a huge Lizzie fan and I was enraged, the whole vibe was off. Lizzie was off! She never showed the slightest interest in singing in the show! The entire story was insane when the show was way more grounded. They should have done a comedy of her at the water park.
