The Loco Club - Wissington Lives!

On Wednesday 17th July 2012, Wissington passed her steam boiler inspection. Wissington is pictured here moving under her own steam for the first time in preservation, following a mammoth rebuild by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Oh wow, quite a feeling seeing this locomotive in steam. My grandmother worked at the Wissington factory during WW2 as part of the railway department (admittedly the office side of things), so seeing this loco and others like would've been a daily occurrence.

What I'd give to see ours (Derek Crouch) like that. Infact come to think of it, Wissington still has the injector from Derek and all!
