You had a bit of a problem with Beardmore there. Wi.liam Beardmore and Co was an e engineering company based in Glasgow with branches elsewhere. Most of the companies closed in the 1930s, but a branch in Sheffield lingered on until 1984. They made everything from ships to guns (including ship guns down to light machine guns) to taxis to aircraft.
