484 had her Reading 6 chime back then. In my opinion that was the perfect movie to have it.

In France, it would be a 1- 4 -1, so clearly we have a clash of cultures, lol😂

In Germany it would be an 1 D 1 or 1'D1', depending on whether the first and last axles are movably mounted ;)

You made a mistake. D&RG 484 is a 2-8-2, not a 2-4-2.

Yeah it's 4 on one side but 8 in total
@RailfanKnexified19 күн бұрын
@ifishbean6744 2 leading wheels, 8 driver wheels and 2 trailing wheels. 2-8-2. Don't know why someone would put 2-4-2 when it's clearly a 2-8-2

Also I believe that they converted all of their steam to oil fired but I might be thinking of the D&S not the C&T but please correct me

K36s are 2-8-2s and not 2-4-2s. So do some more research. The K-37s are still 2-8-2s but the K-37s were built by Denver and Rio Grande Western RR themselves while #484 was built by Baldwin. BOTH are still 36 inch gauge locomotives.

Bud its simply a typo i know how to count wheels. I work on a 4-8-4. I just pushed the wrong buttons and didn't see it until somone in the comments said something.
