The London Breakout Strategy revisited with a new indicator for Metatrader 4 that adds lines for the high and low of the candle time you choose. In this vieo I try to find a mechanical trading strategy but did I think it needs a fair bit more thought. However, I do think there is something in this iodea of a 1 hour time cross, it;s just making it in to a mechanical trading system that is east to follow and without any ambiguity for the trader.

I think you got the strategie mixed up wrong. you are supposed to take advantage of the London open because the banks process a lot of orders then . it is the 3 AM ET time😎

Aren't you supposed to take the 3 o'clock candle on your broker time? The time as shown in your market watch? Do you have a link to the video where you talk about the 3 o'clock candle, i can't find it in your video's.

That depends on your strategy - I found other candles worked better at a glance in back test, and that's the idea of the indicator so you can do a good manual back- test of the strategy trying lot's of different H1 candles close times. I have noticed that the indicator when used live requires you to deleted all objects to refresh itself. It's worth bearing that in mind. I probably won't fix it because I don't use the strategy, at least not at the moment.

Sorry Jan, I don't have any data, It is just a strategy I was looking at - I never actually did a proper manual back test of it. Perhaps you can share your findings if you do a full manual back test of the last 6 months or so and let us know which time works best - some say the 3am UK time, others say the 9am candle close.

@@ClevaSys I did today, from 30 trades, with trend filter using emas i had 15% profit with 1:1RR, but would need whole year to backtest for me to consider putting money in. When i have free time i might do it but a lot of work tbo.

@@janspanel7959 1`:2 RR would be much better but to test it really it would need a full year - like you I don't have the time to properly back test it. Hopefully someone will and share the date here one day.

IT's anightmare with the times. Basically, pick the 3am candle on a h1 or a 7am candle on the H1. Mark the high and low and watch what happens for a few weeks.
