I absolutely adore the Lone Ranger and Dan’s relationship. They’re more than just family, they’re partners just like Tonto is to the Lone Ranger. I believe Dan Sr would be very proud of his son and brother.

The "Hi-yo Silver, away" at the end of the show is the recorded voice of Earle Graser, the radio Lone Ranger killed in a 1941 automobile crash. No one got it down quite as well as Graser did.

On radio Britt Reid reveals to his father Dan Reid that he is the Green Hornet. Dan shows him a photo of his great uncle being radio audience cannot see it but the William Tell Overture plays as Dan talks about how he once rode with this masked vigilante. But by the time the Green Hornet TV series came out the two characters had been sold to different companies so no mention of their relationship is mentioned..Also the TV series had Britt inherit the newspaper instead of being given it when his father retired. On radio two women and three men beside Kato learned who the Green Hornet was and one kept trying to prove it.

Dan should have claimed that Roy had died without regaining consciousness. The outlaws might or might not have believed him, but it would have gained time, at least.

Why do the Mexican outlaws speak in third person? It is annoying. None of the Mexicans that I know do this. The guy that played Roy was also the voice of Rock Quarry on the Flintstones. I'm surprised that nobody caught that one.

John Stephenson was a prolific vocal performer on radio and he did television appearances as seen here but his longest-lasting work was as a vocal performer in animated cartoons at Hanna-Barbera. John was the voice behind a lot of characters at that studio including Mr. Slate on "The Flintstones"; John was also a mimic and in cartoons he would do vocal impressions of Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Paul Lynde, Joe Flynn, and Jimmy Durante just to name a few. John's vocalizations were mostly used for villains but he also voiced good guy characters as well. In the "Scooby Doo" cartoons in the '60s, '70s, and '80s you can hear him voice multiple characters per episode.

I can't accept this dan reid character. It was like a writer thought he could make the show better, but failed horribly.

The Dan Reid character (done by Chuck Cortney) didn't measure up to the quality standard of Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels.
