Jeremy, love your KLR videos. When are Mike and you going to ride the KLRs to Deadhorse Alaska? Would love to see that video. I bought a 2018 KLR and did every mod possible on the bike during COVID when I was not traveling for work. Bought that bike really for an Alaska trip largely due to you inspiration. You do a great job on this stuff. Thank you, Paul G. (Writing from my daughters iPad)

Sleeping bag gumbo!! I love it.A couple of KLR's with issues would likely make it around the world 3 times before any major catastrophes. Very stout motorcycles indeed.....
@JeremyKroeker4 жыл бұрын
Indeed. I’ve taken my KLR all over the place. Solid motorcycles. Mine is currently trapped (along with me) in South America. But it’s not the bikes fault!

You can splint that tent pole with an Altoids tin. Use the pliers if you have them from the stock tool kit on the bike to crush the lid flat, then roll it around the handle and beat it into a tube. That tube will slide right over the fiberglass pole and prevent it from shanking your hand, or punching through the tent fabric. I had to work that one out last summer when mine did the same stupid shit. I used that improvised splint to limp my tent through the rest of a 2 month ride. It broke after 2 weeks.

...run the Labrador HWY last June, the worse part is the last one, Port Hope Simpson To Mary's Harbor, crazy. Gravel is the size of small rocks, had to stand on the Pegs for the whole entire segment .... some rain and freezing winds In Labrador City, but other than that it was fun ....

Cool adventure but that road looks boring at, was it as dead straight and wide as it looks in this video? I also doubt it's claim as the loneliest road. I've ridden some vet lonely roads here in Australia and I have never gone very far inland where it is known to have roads that you may not see another vehicle on for days.

looking forward to doing the Trans Lab and TcH across Newfoundland in August 2018 but... I will NOT be eating hot dogs when I camp. I mean C'MON MAN, you can do better than that. Why be miserable with the diet when you've got far better options? Congrats on the accomplishment.

Im headed that way soon myself, probably right around begining of the month August.

I should be heading up Quebec 389 on July 30th or 31st. If you see a fully ladened Super Tenere with Indiana plates, say hello.

Jeremy & Mike, thanks for sharing your videos. Im planning the same trip in August 2018. Some questions for you, first did you encounter any bears? or even see any?. Were the black flies everywhere in Labrador or which places were bad? Did the flies go away in the heat, or dark? Last but not least what did you eat the made you sick? I did Newfoundland last year, I got sick in Halifax eating seafood.
@valhallamike77066 жыл бұрын
There are black bears around, but they are harmless to man, bring a machete if it bothers you. One of the towns near Churchill Falls was giving tours to see the dozen or so bears in the landfill. They have what's called a "black fly epidemic," from norther Quebec to Newfoundland you'll encounter them on the Labrador highway. They swarm your helmet at stop signs. With motorcycle gear on they can only really get to your face and eyes. Bring a bug net if you think they will bother you. People in the towns up there wear them walking around to the post office and grocery stores. Cold mornings they were not so bad. Jeremy ate a hotdog he left out in the sun for a few days that turned green in the package. Made for some good laughs. Newfoundland was a good ride!
