They sing so good because from the time they were born they heard this kind of singing. They're ears are trained for it first then their voices follow.

I grew up with this song. My big, gruff, construction worker uncle would sing it with so much feeling. Can’t judge a book by its cover, lol.

I’ll always and I mean ALWAYS will think of my Dad each and every single time that I not only watch this one in particular, but the song period. My Dad plays just like that guy on the bass!!!!! Nevertheless, that bassist is SMOOTH!

Are they near odenville or Leeds alabama by chance? I’ve been trying to locate the long family he was a pastor who sang with his family. My moms friend Robin took us to their/her church and the music spoke to me at ten yes old, I’d belt speak to the mountain and still have that cassette but I’d love to find them and get that old music back into my life

Ok, this is not a judgement in any way. However I noticed none of the men wear ties. I know this is a holiness church - I even go to one; we have a minister who doesn’t wear a tie, neither do I. Because not over any convictions I just think it looks nicer without a tie; to me ties are useless & the draw attention to necks & point to not a nice place. With all that being said; I wonder of this is just some belief or a coincidence that there are no ties. Which again the sports coat & no tie is a nice look just curious. If this church is a belief. Like some don’t even wear wedding bands at my church for similar “adorning” reasons. Oh & these folks can sing!! Oh my they are so good! Love the videos

There is great debate about whether the mysterious "11th commandant" is to be translated as "thou shalt wear a tie" or "thou shalt not wear a tie." It's a such an important commandment no wonder it's been the cause of the division of good churches. Seriously though, no judgment at all back but your comment just tickled me because I've seen people lose their religion over whether someone had on a tie. I wear a tie and then often take it off while I'm preaching so I guess I either appease or don't appease both sides

jrcbear, "they draw attention to the neck & point to not a nice place" lol, haha, REALLY?? It's a part of a man's body, most all men have one. Grow up. O, by the way GREAT song.

I have seen a few times where there have been ties worn within our church, but more so on formal type occasions or funerals...things like that. I would say the majority don't wear ties just simply on preference.
