It's not 'expensive' as motorhome destinations- in fact it's pretty good value. If you usually frequent camp sites you will find it very affordable. Being a 'new' destination, we tend to move a lot more than usual and we also spend more on trying local food. That said we're spending double por day in Morocco than what we would in Europe.. We'll break it down in a future video.

Absolutely cracking video guys - had us laughing along merrily and some great footage too. Captured Morocco - you've caught the spirit of the towns which we experienced - getting in amongst the locals. Wow, great video and scenery. One reason for maybe staying close together is company. An old colleague of mine loved camping as he cold talk to all the fellow campers, he loved doing that. His wife loved it as well as she could sit by their caravan and read her book.
@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad 4 ай бұрын
Of course! Many people travel in groups as well and they do enjoy the company. We even saw a group of 20+ campers that consist of mostly single people with dogs - they have the benefit of pet sitting for each other on day excursions. Some motorhome 'camping areas' are often no more than a parking lot and it's not really a true camp site so it can often feel very cramped for us.

Great video… I love your posts. Question, do you see many Europeans traveling with caravans as opposed to motorhomes?
@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad 4 ай бұрын
In Morocco you do see some caravans and it makes sense as the tendency is to use campsites here anyway. It's a lot less common in Europe - except during summer and then mostly at campsites. It's a different style of travel though.

- What a sunset - Annoying chanting, I'll say no more.... - How do you keep Millie looking so clean ? From the outside, she always looks very presentable. Like her owners... Do you wash her regularly ? Do you wash regularly ? never mind... ;-) - On a completely different tangent, I notice Lisa holding a tripod on the Dune, would you recommend it ? I coach juvenile high-jump and am looking for a tripod for my phone to take slow-mo videos of athletes jumping. - Those Blue skies... Now that's what I need. - Thanks so much for including the weighbridge bit in your video. So, its 3.5 tonnes with you guys sitting in the vehicle ? I am a mere novice compared to you experts. I always wondered exactly what the 3.5 ton limit included. So, if you and your Campervan and everything else that is being transported exceeds 3.5 Tonnes you are not legal on a B License. I'm sure that a lot of Campervans exceed that after they fill up on water, groceries etc. - The landscape is so stunning. I want to buy a pet goat. - I love your choice of music, so appropriate - I still hate you, cos you are doing all the things that I would love to do but as of yet have not had the confidence to do. - Belgians eh....You can bet that he was Flemish. - love the chanting around 21:00, so un-obtrusive - great hair-cut Andre. Very impressed that you did it yourself. Thanks guys, stay safe.
@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad 4 ай бұрын
Hey Ronan! Thanks for that. As always you're observations are 💯 Just quickly. -We do try to keep Milli clean but it's more ongoing that proper washing. In Morocco it's a lot harder though and we'll get back on it once we return to Spain. The new color also masks dirt fairly well (except for the black skirt). -We prefer to use a super lightweight tripod as we sometimes carry it with us. In this case it's just the Amazon Basics tripod. It's fine for our lightweight cameras but too flimsy for anything heavy. You also have to use caution in wind as it's so light. Can't recommend it really, but it works for us. -The downside of the 3.5 limit is lack of payload. As you say, the limit applies to the (wet) vehicle plus cargo and passengers. Some manufacturers have started making super lightweight models which gives a lot more scope for payload. We are carrying a few extras (like a Moroccan gas bottle) but it's always very tight to get to weight. Have a great, grey sky day! 😎😉

We are just getting ready to start our trip, trailer should be ready for end of March so hopefully we will leave the UK for France before June, we will do a few test runs in the UK as I'm not too up on towing, our main thing is dirived around kite surfing, We have travelled Europe and Morrocco some 20 years ago in a 1979 VW camper but this time we are making life a bit more luxurious, 1969 23' Airstream Trailer fully converted for wild camping with a 1954 Chevy 3100 truck all set for towing and reliability, who knows we might even bump into you along the way.

Hi Jonathan! I'm rather bummed not getting an opportunity to get the kites out in Morocco 😒The bay of Essaouira and also at Sidi Kaouki is great if the wind is on. Thanks for the reply, I kited in Dakhla for 3 months many many years ago long before any hotels or camp sites there was only 3 of us living on the beach, in fact its where I first got up on the board after disappointing time kiting in Tarifa even though we love Tarifa but not the best place to learn kiting. We are now kiting in Mui Ne Vietnam since December fantastic conditions, but soon to be returning to the UK . Seems like our biggest problem is going to be the Visa 90 day situation. Any ideas or have you met anyone on your travels that have managed to get round this? @@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad 4 ай бұрын
@@jonathanregis6136 In Morocco I met a guy called Jeff Newell - he used to own C2Sky kiteshop in Mui Ne for many years and he just loved it there. Although we've been there I never got the chance to kite, and after spending time with Jeff we're really tempted to go there next winter .. Have to agree with yo uon Tarifa, most spots there are not beginner friendly. The wind can be very gusty and unpleasant. We have met some people who have applied long term holiday visas for Europe (6 months and even a year). We recently spoke to a couple who for a 12 month digital nomad visa in Portugal.. It's not really possible to get around the 90 / 180 limit without a visa. Technically you can investigate reciprocal visa waiver agreements but that is complicated. best bet is to figure out how to split your time across Schengen and non-Schengen. Morocco is pretty good an option and to spend 90 days around the Western Balkans is really easy. Trick is to time it around the seasons.
@jonathanregis6136

Ok thanks looks like its going to take some serious planning, if you are heading for Tarifa there used to be a camp site called "The Pig Farm '' free camping, quiet, safe and beach access just up from the Prison. I'm back in the UK next week and can send you the location if needed. C2Sky is still here, if you're into kiting the Mui Ne is a winter must easily in the top 5 sites in the world, great wind from November to February even kited 2 days ago on a 9m and I'm 85kg. Everything from 5* to $4.00 PN hostel, ok food, safe and lovely locals, once again visa rubbish to contend with ! you can only get 30 visas and the 15 day extensions,we did our visa runs to Singapore, Thailand and Cambodia so not the end of the world. Safe travels and keep up with the Vids @@WeWillNomad

@@jonathanregis6136 Thanks for that! Not sure if the Pig Farm still exists, Tarifa has become a bit overrun with long time vanlifers. We're not going to Tarifa this time. heading back up the east coast. I quite like the kite spots around the Delta de l'Ebre, the region is motorhome friendly and that delta gets a lot of wind. Might pick your brain at some point re Vietnam. Not sure if we want to base ourself in a single place for 3 months. And the thought of dragging kite gear around the world fills me with dread 😒😒 Enjoy your last week!
