The Long Weekend: Take a Hike

If you’re going to include a hike on your list of adventures, make sure it includes camp coffee at daybreak, sweeping above-tree-line vistas at the top, and an ice-blue alpine lake at the bottom. Also, make sure you can pull it off with time to spare, because there’s a few hundred miles of driving between here and the fly fishing hole where you’ll embark on adventure number three.
