I just love the sheer violence and raw power of Jorge Soler. I never get bored of his home runs. I swear he or Judge (with a nod to Ohtani and Schwarber) probably have the longest average distance on their home runs. Its like every shot Soler hits goes 440+.

Went to Wrigley one day in the late 1990's. Saw Sammy Sosa hit one very near that spot. It was estimated that day at 459 feet. That was way before statcast.

Dude, I played baseball my entire life. Was around it almost everyday and saw a lot. The fact that someone can hit a pitch that far blows me away. It’s unfathomable. I don’t think people can really grasp how hard that is to do or how far that actually is until you try it firsthand. I spent a lot of my youth trying and never got anywhere remotely close to that. These guys are so good it’s insane

I don’t understand how the judge home run in Miami that hit the wall 20 feet beyond the 405 sign is 464? Honestly I think balls are still mismeasured usually saying they’re father than they are. It’s like I’ve been to these parks and it’s they are way smaller in person and you can see that I’m the home runs look way farther on tv than in real life. The stands look smaller.

Honestly, that Vladdy Jr. one at Fenway is pretty ridiculous. 450 into the wind on an 84 mph pitch in on his hands that he doesn't even get full extension for. That's some serious strength.

​@@daytimecloudsurfer He got respect in Seattle, they gave him a bunch of chances. Dude can't stay consistent. He will even admit that. Maybe the braves can unlock the talent but so far he crushes AAA but loses his way with MLB pitching. He couldn't hit a breaking ball for the whole 2022 season.
