You have evolved SO much as a person alfie. Your good hearted nature, selflessness and ability to stay humble is so apparent. I really applaud you for 1) not using your new car as click bait but talking about how lucky and thankful you are for having it, 2) discussing the homelessness problem and taking the time to actually sit down and learn from someone. You're an incredible content creator and I hope you know the impact you have on people. THANK YOU!

Last year I witnessed a little girl ask her dad if they could buy meals deals and pass them out to the homeless in the streets of our town and it was such an eye opener bearing in mind she was around 7 years old. Her dad was so proud and they bought 25 deals to hand out 🙌🏻

My brother had a mission while he was alive, he was travelling around Europe being a homeless on purpose with the mission to shed some light on different difficulties about homelessness in different countries. Story about the man you saw reminded me of that. It's also been 5 years now since my brother died (suicide). ❤️

Alfie I was a youth worker for 20 years and helped so many young people with all sorts of issues like homelessness. Like you it doesn’t truly hit till it’s personal. Then and only then can you speak from the heart.! Life throws us so many curveballs some seem so unfair but pain is what makes us who we are and that shapes our lives. You deserve all your success you have worked hard but you also give back. Thankyou for always being real and honest. But most off all Thankyou for always being empathetic and just being you. Love Leisa xx

What a wonderful approach to a conversation with a someone who is homeless. I will be following your lead and asking them the same questions about what local organizations have been most helpful to them and donating directly to those places (in addition to giving them food on the spot per usual). THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful, logical advice. Not only will this implement real change, it will also give the homeless an opportunity to reflect on who is available to help them and what they have done to help them in particular (come with suggestions if they are not aware of what is out there locally!) This is what I like to see from influencers!!!

Every bit helps, every smile, even a hot meal bought for a homeless person can change their whole week around. ♡

this vlog was so powerful in many ways. I work in a supermarket and regularly serve a customer who bulk buys a lot of stuff. I one day got the courage to ask her why she bough so much and she spoke about a wonderful organization/charity but not sure what it really is. they meet up 2 times a week in a carpark in my local town and give out free meals to the homeless that come down, a nice hot meal. volunteers take it in tern to make a main meal and a pudding and they hand them out in the carpark and just stand and chat to the homeless. it's such a beautiful thing for them to do, iv'e recently starting donating to them. I don't have all the money but I know a few pounds here and their, will make a difference. they make snack packs that include water, packet of crisps, chocolate and a cereal bar ect.. and I often donate food for those. these snack packs are great for the days the organization can't get out and directly give a hot meal. I'm not saying all homeless do bad but if you ever want to help a homeless person, give them some food or a gift card to spend on food or something to keep them warm instead of direct money unless you know where that money goes.. even if you have no money just a smile as you walk past makes all the difference. too often people put there heads down and walk straight past a homeless person because they worry they will be harassed/begged at for money, that isn't aways the case and knowing your not forgotten and that kindness, happiness and good still exist's is beautiful . so always give a smile to someone as you walk past. it could Make there day.

This choked me up so much. The Universe always has a way of bringing us back to our center and a different perspective and appreciation for things. I was inspired by Louise Pentland a few years ago to put together care packages with my daughter that included socks, tooth brushes, razors, wash cloths, soap, etc. Some we handed out directly and it really put me in my place to see the deep gratitude for a razor and a pair of socks. Even what seems like such a small thing can make a difference. It's so important to include our children in this as well so that they will learn to have a giving and caring heart and empathy for others.

honestly, what a video. I so needed to see this, I've just bought my first car, I'm in my final year at uni and so easily get carried away with how hard done by I am. I like to think I'm a generous person. But never stop to think about how different my life could be right now. Love that you included this experience in this vlog - and I wanted to commend you for your hard work too, I know you don't want to appear as a savior or anything just doing what we all should if we can, but you do deserve a well done, considering not everybody would do the same in your position. I'm not usually one to comment but I genuinely have felt so touched by this video it felt necessary.

Hey Alf! usually never drop down to write a comment but this story really got me in so many ways. Today was such a mundane day, everything the same as the last and during my walk this evening I thought how boring my life is. As I looked into the windows of my neighbors I pictured myself being older and everything seemed so predictable and foreseeable to me. I am usually a very grateful person even but today I just lost that perspective completely. I am so incredibly happy that I turned to watch your vlog tonight and I am thankful for you speaking so directly to the camera and right to me about this particular topic. Such an important reminder to think beyond myself and be thankful even for the most tiny thing, like watching this vlog in a warm place. Just wanted to share my thought and thank you! Have a good night. :)

Recently I learned that a good friend I’d lost touch with from my past has been living in a women’s shelter with her child. You truly are an inspiration Alfie!! All the work you do inspires me to be a better person and I cannot thank you enough🤍 I watched a recent video from Byron who mentioned the topic of homelessness as he saw a guy in the street who he speaks to often. When they had a conversation he asked what he will do (staying on the streets or perhaps going to a hostel nearby) given the current situation. He replied ‘I’ll just be here’🥺 on the streets too whilst everyone stays home. Byron was so devastated because it puts into perspective how lucky we actually are. Watching this KZbin video at home, like you said, on a phone, tv, iPad... we’re so sooo fortunate to have the life we do🥺 I commented my experience with a guy me and my mum use to see, and we’d always stop and have a chat, buy him hot food and drinks. Then one day we never saw him, and still never to this day😔 I pray to god he’s okay... I feel like this topic is beginning to come to light more as were currently in our second lockdown. It gives me hope that there will be something soon that will benefit those who are homeless. But as a community, we all, like you said also, can do something to make a change. It doesn’t have to cost anything to make some changes in the places we live in. One thing I’ve started doing is volunteering as a Good Samaritan Responder. Not only does it give me a warm feeling knowing I’m helping the community, but it overwhelms me knowing I might be the only person someone talk to in a day and but I’ve been able to be that person they talk to🤍 instead of scrolling through social media for 10 minutes, you could instead have a 10 minute call with someone in your local community and that will make their day. Just to ask how they are. It means so much. Like they say, it’s the little things in life😇Xxxx
