After animating the famous spaghetti-eating scene with Frank Thomas on Disney’s "The Lady and The Tramp," Willie Ito would go to work at the infamous Termite Terrace in the late 1950’s. It was there that he worked with Chuck Jones on such classics as "What’s Opera Doc?" and "One Froggy Evening," the "Coyote and Roadrunner" series, and Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons. Willie would also work with Friz Freleng, and though they had left Warner Bro’s by then, he would work with the legendary Bob Clampett and Tex Avery as well.
In 2021, Willie received the Winsor McCay Award Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Animated Film Society at the 48th annual Annie Awards, in recognition for his career accomplishments in the animation industry.
