Thank you for your sound teaching. I believe that the PERFECT will of God is for us to worship Him, hold Him in high reverence, love each other, refrain from sin, and live by His Holy Word. When WE go against God and His Holy Word, when we fall into dire straits and the traps of Satan of our own doing, we have gone against God's PERFECT will. When we blatantly and stubbornly disobey God's Word and continue doing so, I believe those adversities and troubles we have brought upon ourselves are GOD'S PERMISSIVE will. Our will does not always line up with God's PERFECT will and negative results of our disobedience, I think God PERMITS it so that we can see the importance of striving every day to be in His PERFECT WILL.🙏❤️🙌👏

Happy New Year to you and yours Pastor Jones. I have always heard others give their opinions of a permissive will of God and uses scripture from Rom.1:24; Deut.7:1-4; etc. God may allow evil to function, but his plan is perfect and His will is perfect and will always triump. I just pray and ask Holy Spirit to lead me unto all truth of God's Holy Word. He will not see us going wrong when we want truth. Again Happy New Year and I love your teaching Sir!😊

Awesome lesson Dr. Rodney Jones, we truly need to know what God’s will is for our lives. Rom.12:2 “ And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 1 Jn. 5:14 “ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. “ V. 15 “ And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of him. “

The fact that the Psalmist, as he turns his attention to God, realizes that God is able, it is He who is mightier, it is He who has a greater authority stands out to me as He makes his plea. We may not use these types of prayers but we should approach God knowing that He is mightier....

man has always asked the question, "what's going on ..." we thought the 60s 70s 80s or even 90s were crazy - look at where we are this January. Only God - the self existent one - knows where we are going.

Happy New Year. Idont know about "perfect" and permissive will - i think God's will is God's will. I believe He causes some things - and He allows others. What comes to my mind is the story of Job - and God and the adversary going back and forth. I would not say - God caused Job to suffer - I believe He allowed it. However, make no mistake about it - God is always in control - so it does not reflect an absence of His presence or His authority. God allows bad kings, I believe God allows evil - He allows the Adversary to do what He does - its not as tho the adversary has any power over God! - but its Gods will - no matter what. But no - i can not say - that God causes pain and suffering ... He allows it as it is the consequence of man's sin. i have not heard it called - the second will or anything like that - but then, i am caused - not allowed - to be a Baptist - as part of God's divine design for my life lol. Have a blessed evening. Love your teaching!

Good morning pastor. About God's permissive will I believe God has a Divine will for mankind At the same time he has a permissive wheel because he has to allow anything in the world to happen while it's good or bad. In the beginning, God created a perfect world as part of His perfect plan (Deuteronomy 32:4). He also created spiritual beings and humans with a will and the ability to make decisions. Everything was "very good" (Genesis 1:31). However, as God's moral creations exercised their free will, they chose disobedience, and sin entered the world. Despite sin not being a part of God's perfect plan, He allowed it to happen as part of His permissive will.If God had not given humans the freedom to make choices, would we truly have the capacity to love Him genuinely? God is omniscient, meaning He knows everything that has occurred and all that will occur until the end of time (Isaiah 46:9-10). As a sovereign God, He must permit all events and happenings. He intentionally made humans with the ability to make decisions and placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, knowing Adam and Eve would choose to sin. This falls within God's sovereign will and demonstrates His permissive nature.
