The Lord of the Rings Book Reading Order

This is the list I've needed all along. After getting The Silmarillion and The Children of Hurin I wasn't sure where to go next. I did pick up Beren and Luthien and the Fall of Gondolin. Have not gotten The Unfinished Tales.

Good and informative video! This probably sounds weird but out of all of these I'm only interested in reading The Silmarillion xd I like the LotR movies and fantasy is my favourite genre to read but I just don't have any desire to start LotR :/ Maybe one day :D

Vexillien I really would suggest you to read the LOTR books and even the hobbit before that. If you like the movies you’ll like the books even better. They are not the same as the movies. Many things were cut out and some things were changed

I'd say read the books, but you can do it before or after you watch the movies. Same order, Hobbit first, then Lord of the Rings
