This is the first time we have ever seen the Elven homeland. Galadriel's dip is as significant as Marc Specter leaving the Field of Reeds.

The great things about the LOTR games, you could save Boromir in the RTS/RPG one. You could have your whole fellowship (almost) at the Black Gates holding the tide of Orc and Troll at bay. By far my favorite last mission from my younger days.

I think it was decent, the visuals are stunning, the score is great, and the orcs look way better than the CGI bullshit Hobbit had. The clashing with HOTD isn't doing them a lot of good though. People are just trying to compare it with HOTD and nitpicking a lot of stuff.

The guy in the meteor is Gandalf. Gandalf is a Maiar spirit (effectively an angel) from heaven, when he takes physical form, he looks like a wizard. The "elven" smith showing up to help Elrond is Sauron in disguise.
