Nice reaction. Love the positivity. I don't think we see Rivendell under attack in the trailer (I think that's Eregion, where Celebrimbor has his forge) and I don't think we see Minas Tirith (it doesn't exist yet) I think that's Numenor again. I'm pretty sure Amazon will bankroll all five seasons, it's tempting to wait ten years and binge-watch all of it then, but I don't think I have the patience of an Ent.

Lol, great point about the wait between seasons - we've found that with House of the Dragon as well, and have forgotten who half the characters are between seasons 1 and 2! Oh, for the days when a season was 22 episodes long and you only had to wait between May and September for the next one!!!

The second season should be better than the first... i heard they are shifting focus away from galadriel and focusing more on Celebrimbor and Elrond. Also seems like they listened to some of the criticisms and are gonna use this season to get it back on track.

The argument for being upset about a black elf is fair, as in Tolkien’s lore he specifically states elves are fair skinned. So it is blatantly disrespectful to the original creators work. However I don’t think 1 casting choice is worthy to cancel a show.

You know, you raise a fair point and that does explain why some people are saying that the show is not faithful to Tolkien's original text. But, then again, that book was written pretty much a century ago for a very different culture, and many things that were acceptable then are not today, for good reason. So I don't think it's unreasonable to allow people of color to see themselves represented in a more equitable way in this franchise, and I can certainly understand both points of view.

Loved the first season! This one looks incredible as well. Cannot wait! Get ready for the darkness. Sauron out in the open manipulating the Elves, Men, Dwarfs and other free folk is going to be amazing!

YES! That's exactly what I was thinking - I really don't think this will end well for the enemies of Sauron, so I guess my only concern is that it might be a little too bleak for some! Hopefully they'll be able to keep a good balance similar to Empire Strikes Back!

Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion! We really enjoyed Season 1 and it felt great to be back in Middle Earth, but completely agree with you that Season 2 is already looking far bigger, better and more ambitious! Feels like this could be the pay-off we were waiting for in Season 1!

The controversy doesn’t have anything to do with black elves or people of color. And also this show is bad, like acting wise, storytelling, costumes. Everything about it says high school play but with big budget!

I don't agree - we have plenty of people hating on every video we create about this show, who are specifically angry that Tolkien, 100 years ago, wrote that elves have light skin, and how dare a TV show buck that trend... And hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think it's unfair to dismiss this show as flat-out "bad" - the sets, costumes and much of the acting are pretty decent! After all, they spent $750m on it...

Money doesn’t buy good acting or sets. The armor they wear is cloth. In one of the scenes the crowd is literally cut and pasted side by side, it’s the same 10 people made to look like a crowd. Lazy writing as well.

As a book fan I am unhappy with the portrayal of Tom Bombadil. And I still do not like the dialogues and character development. The only thing which is nice are the visuals. The only part I do visually not like is the costumes and portayal of the elves, especially .Gilgalad And spoiler , it will end with the battle of the last alliance of elves and men where Isidur cuts the ring from Saurons finger. They do fight the war of the elves and Sauron and the Siege of Eregion
