Oh man this game was so bad ass. It was the first RPG I ever played, and I was absolutely absorbed by it-- and furthermore, it got me even deeper into the world of Tolkien at an age when I wasn't reading much. This game is so classic!

i remember watching my dad and brother play thisgame when i was like 3 or 4 years old. it was one of the first computer games i "played". i just remember how scary i thought it was, especially when characters died, they would make this awful scream. oh nostalgia.

As someone who didn’t have a sound card as a kid, I can attest that this sounded waaaaaay more sinister coming from the little speaker on the back of the cab.

as far as i can remember this game had also a real orchestra score... well, or perhaps some other old game. anyone knows? it looked like this here in my thoughts... but there was one theme and it was great (and orchestra)...

I loved this game! The closest thing I've seen to it nowadays is Oblivion. I wish they'd make another LOTR RPG like that some day...

It's not hard to find this from some abandonware or torrent sites, with the copy protection removed.
