@@grwaitemd No, a fellowship is what many would call a "company". That is a group of believers that haven't fully been organized yet. In order for a group to be completely organized it requires all the church positions (elders and deacons) to be filled.

@@sdarmtexas9006 God has called me to be involved in the preaching of the gospel and bring people together so they can form churches. This is the calling for ministers and that is what Andy and I do under the SDP name. Your question is a very good one and requires a little bit of information in order to be fully understood. I'll touch a little bit upon this subject in the next message which is again dealing with the Lord's supper. A short answer to give now - I do believe that God has an order for all things. However, as you mentioned yourself, we are in a position similar to that of the early Christians and early SDA pioneers where we are transitioning away from an apostate organization and individual churches, to newly developed groups and churches. I do understand that the ordinance of the Lord's supper is to be administered by an ordained elder or by a minister of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Prior to the Lord's supper taking place, people would have had to be baptized (or have had a profession of faith) in the truth (received all the things Jesus commanded the disciples), not in an apostate church. Furthermore, this ordinance was also practiced together by people who are in a common fellowship. Notice that Jesus instituted this ordinance only with the 12. That was a group of believers who were working unitedly together. It really was an example of what a local church would look like. Thus, the Lord's supper is to be for people who have been baptized and have collectively decided to come and work together as one local body. Just as Grew mentioned, it requires them to be members of a local congregation and also have an elder and deacon chosen who have had hands laid on them. The question of gospel order is an important one and as time continues God will guide us so we can do things in accordance with his will. I believe that many of us have much to learn upon this subject, and by God's grace, we'll be able to understand it all. Hope this gave you some clarity.
