holy sh*t this is a masterpiece. The way you told and showed it was so strong and emotional. most people just put some slowly zooming out pictures and just says what happened. But YOU on the other hand. You told it with emotion, great editing and detail. So I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard would offer you a job. Awesome job bro, Awesome job :D

@@zoonisha4387 Sorry for the delay! Alas, not really! Ideally with more hours in the day or more animators/artists on hand, our episode production would go by faster. Our Editor/Producer is a one man magic show and thus each episode is broken down into stages. Writing and screen directions and most narration goes to me which isn't the most time consuming part, so alas not much to be done! We do have a Patreon for anyone who wishes to support us but there is never any patreon-exclusive videos there so don't feel you need to! I DO encourage you to join our discord community! Daam this was excellent, great emotional acting I felt I was really listening to an NE The only thing I would say was missing is an allusion or rumor about the ending of Elegy and the mercy of Elune bestowed on the dying.
@TheLostCodex6 жыл бұрын
I debated on showing that but I wanted to sort of emulate a gentle-version of Delaryn in the hatred, emotion and fear. I didn't want to end on a happy note, even if Elune did interfere. I wanted to emulate from the perspective of someone who would've had no idea Elune granted that and just exude pure raw heartbreak. Also, thanks for saying that! I was SO nervous about the voice acting as it wasn't my usual comfortable 'Draenei voice' I can pull off. Glad people love it so much.

I really don’t want to sound negative coz I’m really not and I always support you and always leave nice comments I really enjoy the way you tell stories like in the suramar video or the helya and odin. This one felt very roll playesh. It didn’t feel like the lost codex, it felt like a nightelf is crying and telling me his story. If this is the direction you want I respect you and your work.
@TheLostCodex6 жыл бұрын
Not negative at all! I appreciate the civility in your feedback! And you’re right- this wasn’t done in the traditional Lost Codex narrator style. We’ve, on occasion, added another level of immersion to our videos with “guest narrators”. For our Eredar episodes, we had the lore narrated by an Eredar and I thought It would be cool to have a Night Elf tell this story. I really wanted to exude the emotion a Kaldorei would feel when telling the story of his home and the quivering raw emotion as he tries to recount the story of the Burning!

It was the night elfs selfishness that made the tree in the first place they thought they would be immortal again...i wonder why no one thought making the capital city on a big freaking tree wasn't a bad idea.Still i have to admit it was a cool bonefire..i'm wondering if Nomi came up with new recipes for night elf barbeque after Teldrassil burned 🙂 For the horde !!!
@TheLostCodex5 жыл бұрын
It was the Selfishness of a group of Night Elves- not all of them! And that arrogance doesn’t justify the death of the mostly children and civilian population that burned alive there. No amount of arrogance should be responded in kind like that.

Good video, but the alliance bias is real. Here, horde are presented as nothing but conquest-hungry savages, starting the war for no real reason. The truth, however, is that the war had already begun as a race for the monopoly over azerite (closest thing to nuclear weapon IRL), started by the alliance attacking goblin miners (well, they did mine azerite without telling the alliance). The occupation of northern Kalimdor and, more particularly, the occupation of Teldrassil, was a logical (though not necessary) decision considering that Teldrassil was used as a safe harbor to funnel azerite from Kalimdor to the Eastern Kingdoms. The only horrible part, from the point of view of someone not caring about the tree, was the decision to burn it as only innocents remained inside.
@TheLostCodex5 жыл бұрын
The bias is intentional. The story was narrated by a Kaldorei citizen who survived the burning, a historian directly affected by the War of the Thorns. From their perspective, after the Legion war JUST ended, the Horde marches on Ashenvale, slaughters the entirety of the region and flattens Darkshore before lining up their armies on the shoreline and razing a tree filled with innocents. Even with the details of the story, the Horde is primarily the aggressors in this conflict unfortunately and I really wanted to hit the nail on the head as a directly affected citizen of Teldrassil.
@marcosguedes88855 жыл бұрын
If you read Elegy, it shows clearly that is the Horde who attacks first, because the Explorer's League arrives first to study the damage that Sargeras did to Azeroth in Silithus, along with the Sentinels. After that, the goblins massacre them, to start to mine the Azerite, and that's why Shaw sends the champion to Silithus.
