A couple years back, i was driving through West Plains, Missouri, when I stopped at the local Dairy Queen to get somethin'. Dont remember what I ordered, but I do remember that place. It wasn't overy '80s or '90s, but it did have lots of pictures of that establishment's history. What really stood out was that they had their location's first ever ice cream machine & it's history on display, in the flesh. They called it "The Duke," first used in 1966(If memory serves). That's what I like. These locations all have their own individual histories-- which ya did a great job of showcasing-- and I think it's important we preserve 'em, even if it's only via photos. Somethin' about 'em is really calming to me, they've got that perfect "contemporary '90s" look(Think the bowling alley in "The Big Lebowski"). Being a 2000s kid, I only ever saw a few in person, but that doesn't change how much I love 'em. Also you're not wrong, I too would totally hang those wall arts & neon signs in my place.

Where I live, there is only one restaurant still in its 90s decor. Everywhere else has modernized to the point that everything looks exactly the same

My local Wendy's kinda looks like that! My local Taco Bell still has a lot of that really cool wall art, too. And GOD, I'm so sad about that zoo McDonald's. A lot of these locations look really cool, and I wish they'd bring these designs back.

Great video B&B! I remember the old McDonalds buildings you showed and even though I didn’t eat at McDonalds very often, seeing those colorful roofs would make me smile. I love the old styles, they made each restaurant feel unique and memorable. There’s something special about eating inside of a fast food restaurant. I will say some of the new ones do feel cozy inside, but are easily forgettable. Anyways, I really enjoyed this video and the editing was great. I love that even though it’s not a Bluey video that Hideaki was still in it. I look forward to whatever comes next!

I recently went to a Pizza Hut from the 90s. The experience you discribed in the intro was very similar, except it was during the day. I went back 2 weeks later and it had turned into a chik-fil-a. I miss that Pizza Hut.

At our local McDonald's in the early 2000's they had what I think was a conveyer belt connecting the area where the food was prepared to the drive though pickup area. It literally went up over a part of the dining area and back down. Depending on where you sat you could watch McDonald's bags though the sides going overhead. I don't know if that was a commonplace thing at different locations at the time or just for that one McDonald's, but it was really cool seeing it as a kid. Sadly the place got the modern treatment a while ago, it definitely lost a lot of the personality and uniqueness it once had, now it's just a generic McDonald's like any other in my area. but I still remember that. Great video B & B.
