Stay the night with me in the room they filmed Lost Highway & tour the town of Death Valley Junction while we find other movie locations.
I also give a pretty extensive run down of what it is like to stay at the Amargosa Hotel in Death Valley Junction. A lot of folks are surprised when they book a room there for the price & then find out there is quite a lack of amenities. No food, no tv's, and apparently now no coffee or tea unless someone is there, that can be a shock to folks who don't read the reviews before booking.
AFTER FILMING THIS: Since the recent flooding also I would recommend NOT staying on the collande if you are sensitive to smells & chemicals. They have replaced the carpet with industrial carpet & it is gassing off all the chemicals, I had to leave the door open in order to even be in a room & didn't stay the whole night actually.
Only looking for the movie scenes:

They could half solve the coffee situation by providing an electric kettle and a water jug. Plus some instant coffee packets (not as good as real coffee but better than none), tea bags, drinking chocolate etc. I assume that the peculators have been left to go dry in the past.
@JenniGives
@JenniGives 7 ай бұрын
Right?? Mainly if they are going to provide what they advertise they have, they should change the website info, is my opinion. No one working there right now seems to even go into Death Valley, so they don’t even let you fill water bottle for hiking if you are staying there 😭

i love that building. i always stop there if I happen to be going that way to or from D.V. If you're ever in Las Vegas, NM, its worth the $100 a night to stay at the Plaza Hotel. Lotta movies have been filmed there, too, most notably No Country For Old Men. And a lot of the doors to the rooms have blurbs on the front, describing the famous people who stayed there over the years and for what projects they were filming.
