I miss Apocalypse most of all; you could see it all across the park. Pandemonium and G-Force are two I also miss, mainly because their flaws probably soured people’s opinions of them. It’s also a shame that Excalibur went so quick due to technical difficulties.

Nice trip down memory lane. Dad used to take me here regularly between mid 80's to mid 90's, some of the best days of my life they were. Dad's not here anymore and neither are the rides but at least there are fond memories and photographs. I haven't been there since around 1995 and I'm sure it's a completely different place (maybe for the better in some respects but you can't beat a bit of nostalgia) I need to take my kids there and let them enjoy what I did.

Great pics....many fond memories as a kid, spent most my childhood at the park during holiday season....there was one ride that was there before the python, American roller coaster that I'm sure went to Alton towers & went under covers to create the Star wars

My children never believed me that there was a jungle cruise back as far as 1991 92 where you rode round the lake and saw dinosaures so ty for putting up video i can now think i did not imagine it i knew all the time it was at drayton now where thomas land is xxc

Great list! I remember I also loved the vintage cars (which were right next to the haunted crypt) and the Mississippi Showboat on the lake near the buffalo! Of course now you'd need to add G-force and the Pirate Adventure to that list :'(

I nearly shit myself as a teenager on the paratrooper ride!! It was dangerous and probably would not be allowed now.Thinking back now the sides were way, way too low! And i'm not that tall. There were no safety harnesses of any kind , just 2 of you stood in a small compartment and up it went. I can still remember despite it been over 20 odd years ago shaking as it got to the top and it then dropping you all of a sudden! I have always gone on any ride but this was the one where I thought I could fall out and die here!! lol! aah great days.

Why don't they keep all the rides and add the new rides in other locations . They do have massive area of the park empty too. Plus if some rides don't pass modern safety rules why not upgrade them or if they look too old or damaged up buy a newer version of it / repair it / glam it up

Yeah. It's quite funny because when u go on splash canon, u can see an big, old plastic dinosaur, my aunt said that in the zoo they had loads of them? I've only been for the past three/two years, and if u go in the zoo, u can see a little cave thing that's shattered in, with plastic dinosaurs, guessing they can't be bothered to fix it.

i remember afair few of those rides... theyve taken some cool rides away just to try and keep up with the competition. the snake train just felt dangerous.... on 2 wheels going round the corners but it was a good laugh. the logflume will always be better than the rubbish they replaced it with.

The Crypt Dark ride remember that very well, Remember the TV adverts for it in the 80's + when they did a re-fresh with up to date tech from the 80's Also you got the Quasar one wrong-Quasar was there from 1985 -1987 A.R.M. + was Sold to showman Michael Phillips in September 1987. It was going to be there for the 1988 season but he offered shit loads of money

The snake train was proper sketchy.... always cornering with one wheel.in the air!! What was the big boat thing moored on the edge of the lake where you walk through in the dark and the floor moved...abit like a dark fun house?

I went on black revolver in 2010 and it was great and super popular. I don't know why they closed it. The abandoned building is still there

Thanks for the video! Great memories, use to go a couple of time's a year. Back in 92 and 93 I was 10 year's old and the one that stuck out the most was pirate ☠ adventure! I've heard that's all been taken down and removed now? Part's was sold apparently but that ride was very old and had a bit of a smell.

Quasar is missing from the 80s. Used to stand next to the Haunted Crypt. Also the Octopus that went to Alton Towers was a totally different machine ( built by Bakker)

Drayton manor hasn't had a thrill ride in a while, you don't know how high or fast the roller coaster is, at the launch there is an indoor section, you don't know what's going to happen there, and it will not replace the buffalo. I would rather have that coaster than nothing at all.

Yes they took away 3 rides I went on before the got removed during the year 2010 I was lucky the rides I went on were g force, sombrero and black revolver the waltzer in the dark ride.

Black Revolver was One of a kind. THERE'S WAS ONLY ONE That Was it Epic Fantastic Cup and saucers were Excellence Aswell And the Octopus ride And the pirate ship 1982 / 2003 Loved The Octopus 1985 1997 And The Dogens The Bumper car ride. They have been gone for a while now and I know this because I have visited Drayton manor quite a lot and I was disappointed when I arrived there one year to discover that they were no longer there.
