This is an animated dramatisation of what happened to the cancelled South Park Game Boy Color game in 1998.
The game was fully developed and ready to be sent to Nintendo, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone were not overlooking the development process, and therefore did not have any idea what the game would be like. So before shipment took place, Trey and Matt decided to have a Quick Look at the game so that they could approve it.
But after looking at it, they concluded that it was probably best not to release the game, seeing as the Game Boy Color was primarily marketed toward children. So they held onto the original prototype copies to commemorate it the very first South Park game.
The game was reskinned in 1999 as "Maya the Bee and Friends" in Europe and in 2000 as "Mary-Kate and Ashley Get A Clue" in the United States.
But it was not until 2018 when it surfaced online that fans were able to play the original South Park version.
