My father-in-law bought that VHS tape around 1988. My friends and loved watching with him. We all had the 70s Army surplus coats & gear. It sure brings back good memories. It was something new and cool for the times to watch and learn from. My son's Seth & Colt now have those tapes.

This is a critical tutorial even if you do not run a Duck Commander call. My father bought that VHS at either Mack's in Stuttgart or The Swap Shop in Warren, AR. At the time I was living in Dallas and when the crops locked up in Mer Rouge, LA and Eudora, we made a beeline to the N end of Felsenthal. Dad would have a full complement of Duck videos to get us fired up. When those farms in SE AR and NE LA, iced over, it was Katie bar the door in those flooded hardwood bottoms of S AR!

Man, I called the number on the back of the video where ya'll hunted the green heads in flooded timber. I called the number and some guy named Willy answered. We talked. He invited me to hunt some peanut fields with them near Waco. I was working for Church so I didn't have two nickels to rub together and had to deny the invite. Little did I know back then. lol. I've been a fan of Duck Commander since the mid 80's. And I had to explain to my lab Macey why I turned down a duck hunt. She had no gas money either. I grew up in my teen years on Marty Staufer, Grizzly Adams, Bill Dance, and Phil Robertson from the original DU Browing ad days. Now days you all helped be a better father to my dead eye shooting kids and a Mighty Oaks Alumni. Amen, and pass the ammo. All the best. Shawn P.S. I'd buy 4 DVD's if available. You're spot on we still use DVD for clients when we take them to our Co. Ranches. They would love this in the collection. Those guys would love it vs. more Rocky and Terminator.

I've never heard Phil talk so much at one time in my life! I'm an old woman from Lowell, MA, and never got the opportunity to do any hunting, but have always enjoyed bumping into Duck Commander videos on the Internet. It's a combination of science and art, hunting, and fishing as well.

Around '84 I was running traps on Wallace Lake in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. I was 13.It had to be around Christmas and I saw a flock of mallards that had hundreds of ducks in it. They landed about 1oo yards. from me. Duck blinds were there but nobody in them. It was around 10.30 in the morning. They didn't pay me any attention. I've never seen anything like it before or sense. I will never forget that. I sat and watched for a while. I just wonder if anyone else has seen a flock this massive here in Louisiana. 🤔

In my area especially when they are super active the mallard hens throw long deep raspy cadence. It's almost like they are having a competition of who can get the raspyest. So I have always preference low toned raspy calls. But if you have just a couple floater geese and one person plays a goose flute it's game over. Mallards use geese as sentrys.
