The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Tyrannosaurus Rex Part I

My bad/average t-rex run.
Guess I'm better with hunter/prey, then with the dinos x]

What I love about this is the Rex's signature thudding footsteps begin right as the caption "Everything is under control" pops up.

I love Tyrannosaurs. I mean, when an animal in real life has a power-move, it's awesome enough. But when that power-move is, "pick up the other guy and swallow him whole," it's just a whole new level of bad-ass.

The beginning (when you hear the rex coming and it's showing the animals.) scares the shit out of me.

I had this game for a few days. Then I kept seeing that Final Fantasy VII commercial "5 years in the making" That same week I brought Jurassic Park: The Lost World back to Babbages in the mall and got Final Fantasy VII. Don't regret that decision one bit!

Ahh, the horrifying memories! The T-rex levels were the most difficult ones in the game for me. Oh, and when you're biting the Stegosaurus, you can keep mashing the X an Square buttons to inflict MASSIVE DAMAGE!!! (Well, at least the T-rex will sort of try to tear the Stego's head off or something, idk if it does more damage, but it LOOKs totally badass.) Nice tactic, too. CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP!

Square to bite, then press X to eat. Press triangle instead to slam them down to the ground for style. It's also possible to kill two raptors with the eat animation if they interrupt you if I remember right.

Great game, had good graphics for a game in 1997-1998, great action. It was very fun to play on the PS1.

It was pretty much: "Here's the first level! ....DEAL WITH IT!" The raptor scene freaked me out the first time! "Awsome he's gonna make it!" *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH CHOMP! CHOMP!* D': "OMG!"

Yep, Velociraptors were pretty compact in size. Around 2 to 3 feet tall. Jurassic Park definitely blew up their proportions. I read (a very long while ago) about Utah Raptors, which were quite large compared to the others. A simple search on wikipedia will help you. But apparently it is much bigger than portrayed in the film. So I'm guessing the novel stayed true to it.

Tip:you can stop at the logs to eat up the raptors behind you. Good spot to gain health and get rid of pests following you :)

Aye, if you're not in a hurry ,D Carnotaurs? Did I miss something there? But there are plenty allosaurs and a pretty buggy allosaurus at "predator's ball". Yep, GREAT char, also because it's the only char where you really can screw up a lot of things.

I think he's just a stronger normal enemy. If I remember it right, there is a second stego if I would have chosen the other path to reach the stego near the end of the level.

There are a lot of glitches in this game :P There is also a glitch/bug on the same level, that sometimes lets you jump over the stego at the very end of the level (must be made at the right moment, but you still take some damage).

changes the colour of your "sauron eye" hehe, i mean iris to a diff. colour. this kind of tooth changes it to the max, which means you aren't as invulnerable as you are with a green iris, you can take more hits and deal more damage.

Damn wrong, Ian actually. According to the Jurassic Park novel, SOME of the dinosaur DNA originated from certain frogs meaning that particular Trex couldn't see things that weren't in motion. In the Lost World novel actually, when someone tried to stand still, the Trex knocked him down, stepped on him and bit off his arm (I'll give you a hint, he didn't make it).

i think the trex levels were the hardest in this game.the easiest was probably the raptor levels.
