Lougawous in the U. S. are also known as 'skinwalkers'. Different name, same type of entity. They do exist outside of Louisiana. I've heard them before wandering outdoors in the state of Nevada on more than one occasion

I live in Louisiana & I saw a Lougawou. I was driving with my grandmother one night. I forgot where we was coming from but anyway, we driving down the street & I saw a guy walking down the street. It was late at night, so I was about to say, what is he doing walking in the street late tonight. Then as we got closer, it was a dog. I'm like, now I know for sure I saw a guy. It was walking in 2 legs. How the heck is it a dog now. I heard about Lougawous but I thought it was just in Haiti. However, after training across your video, you tell me that they are out here in Louisiana. This is crazy. 😱😱😱

While watching this, I just remembered of that Supernatural series season 1 episode 18, like it now makes sense that most of the things shown on movies do really exist, we brush it off as fiction but in real life this mythical creatures are real and they live among us

I think I experienced something similar to this I was around 3/4. A lady followed me and my mom in a supermarket. She was like I can take you away from her(my mom) some way my walked away from the basket and she came pushed it. I remember wanting to cry but it was hard. Like she was stopping from doing so. Eventually I got back to my mom. A lot of weird supernatural things happened in my life after that. Even til this day.

The lougarou shapeshifter legend is found in much of the Creole-speaking world. Mauritius, where my parents are from, have a “lougarou” too (pronounced just like French). Trinidad used to have Creole speakers and they have something similar but called the soucouyant, Martinique, Guadeloupe & Dominica have “lougawou” just like Haiti & Louisiana, Grenada has ligarou (with an i) and French Guiana has “gigonbya”. French Canada has a rougarou with an r My guess is that the origins of this phenomenon came from Africa and fanned out in the diaspora (with Mauritius being an African island where lots of East Africans were taken)

Then I'm told, "Yeah your grandfather and great grandfather were chosen to serve the water spirits"

My family is so watered down and non communicative so I have no idea of my ancestors. But I have always been advised by spirit to give offerings to the water and when I learned of Yemaya I felt a certain connection and feeling that I am safe in water or near water. Because the natives in the western reservations have some emotional attachment to them and gatekeep the knowledge and angrily tell the rest of the world shape shifters don't exist outside of their areas and they don't need to protect themselves from such things. I find it suspicious

Hello yvana. I just wanted to let you know that in the united states where I am from and currently living in brooklyn new york. From where I am from they are called “skin walkers” The name skin walker comes from the fact that they take shape of a human being and it’s kinda easy to tell if someone’s a skin walker by their behavior or their look might be off somehow. Another word for this is also called “doppelgänger” if you haven’t heard already, they are none for making mistakes of humans such as forgetting to put two eyes on the person the shape shifted as or ect. They also look very creepy and walk on all fours with a messed up spine.. Yeah they are usually in the caribbean just lettin you know!
