He went on to say that people don't understand how frustrated he felt that he was getting called "washed" (even by Chris Hu) or in rare cases, a whiner who got compared to LTG or DSP. I feel bad for Idom in a way. This man was absolutely wiping the floor with worldwide competition in SF5 (not to mention killing it in Strive and MvC3). Then 6 comes out and he's not feeling the meta, so any of his criticisms hit the people who enjoy 6 the wrong way. There are things that he criticizes that I agree with (perfect parry being one), and things I disagree with (many but not all of his critiques of drive rush). And his frustration kinda makes sense. Idom was one of the best players at mixups, and mixups are not much of a thing in 6 unless you can really pull them out of rare occasions. Manon fits his clean neutral style, but can't capitalize on it as well, cannot easily reverse, and cannot apply pressure as well as other characters can. I also prefer off-grapplers much like him, so I feel like I can sympathize with him quite a bit, even though I don't fully agree with him.
