I'd never heard of the Lowmans, the injustice inflicted upon them, and/or the horrific ending of the lives of many of the family members. My parents were raised during the Jim Crow Era. I'm a baby boomer...born in 1956. Racism is still alive and well in this country. But thank God for the barrier breakers, freedom riders and fighters, those whose voices have been silenced, and voices that will not be silenced! Thank you, Sir, for sharing this story and many others like it. I pray that those responsible for these heinous acts of violence repented. The same goes for those guilty of similar acts of violence today. My prayers and sympathy are with all whose lives have been impacted by the sin of bigotry, fear, and hatred. Whether the instigators and/or perpetrators repent or not, one thing is certain (and make no mistake about it): Justice WILL be served! God will see to that!! He is the Ultimate Judge and Vindicator!

it depends, in Jamaica: Paul Bogle a Pastor and National Hero was beaten and hanged but some of his compatriots were tied down given over 325 lashes; they even wrote it in a book about the people who received from 100 - 325 hundred lashes. The slaves in Jamaica fought back they did not lie down and took the wicked treatment. No, they plotted against the plantation owners; the slaves in Jamaica received the harshest treat but became the fiercest fighters. They were shot, hanged, burnt alive, whipped, starved to death, hunted like rabbits but the Jamaican slaves NEVER gave up. This is one of the reasons I love/hate history. Simple…REALLY stick together and boot every “Black” lawmaker out of office all over the country, replace them with real riders and start raising our kids again to be brilliant legal minds, upstanding political science majors, doctors, and historians! It can be done within one generation…we don’t need anymore rappers, reality stars or ball players 💯

Vote for the Democratic Party until another party realignment? Vote for decent candidates for office? Raise your kids with a conscience? Be a good role model to your neighbors? Lastly, exercise your 2nd Amendment rights?

@@caramelcosmo71147 You are asking us to think, have purpose, you are a dangerous mind, a possible enemy of the state. I used to share such energy but at 65 have been beaten to a pulp by those around me. I spend time just chilling these days, my 2 sons and daughter remind me to talk to the hand every time I would visit your suggestions. Good luck to them,,,.

I had many elders who lived in various Jim Crow states. LOUISIANA, TEXAS,GEORGIA, THE CAROLINAS AND VIRGINIA. They all often talked about the Klan and the the Sheriff and showing up on sharecropper land to take away men, women and children in the dead of night. Never for them to be seen again. So the recorded lynchings were just a drop in the bucket. But sometimes bodies would be discovered in the woods. Or they would show up in Lakes, rivers or streams. Needless to say the people were terrified. In some instances the people gathered to march to the Governors mansion to plead for mercy and help. Only for it to fail on death ears. There was no protection from the core power structures of law enforcement, judges and elected officials. Either you kept your mouth shut.Left town or died. Pure and simple.

It makes me very angry and sad . I was raised in the South and can remember Jim Crow Law very well. I remember going to the doctor, and blacks having to sit on one side that wasn't as clear and nice as the side were the white patient sat . It still hurt until this day at 63 years old. I still see some problems from the Jim Crow Era. Shame on America ❤❤
